One of the things HID and I really enjoy is watching local bands in a decent pub somewhere locally. Usually great nights out and something we didn't do as much of last year as we'd like. Starting on the right foot and off to see this lot in a pub not too far away

Looking forward to a decent night out. Planning to do it every few weeks as well as seeing more established bands as and when they tour. Can't beat live music and a pint

Late nights out banging yer head about on the beer isn't great golfing preparation, maybe your not as committed as you say you are, I'll be tucked up early most nights after a light run, some weights and a sensible diet, it's obvious you really are Homer in how you act in life, whereas the YOTF will be a lean, mean, fighting machine that won't just pull some Tigers tail, he'll be swinging that puddy cat around his head 😂😂😂

Good for you, Homer. There are some tremendous acts around right on our doorsteps. I've been playing in bands on local scenes for years and we thrive on folks coming out to watch. I've also been blown away (frequently, tbh) by musicians who should be pro and they'll be playing in your local. Venues need the custom to survive so the more folks tuned in the better.

Not exactly a local band, but my daughter got us tickets for Saxon in Brighton in a few weeks. Can't beat a bit of 747 Strangers in the night.

indeed there are, and I have one such venue locally. Unfortunately after my last visit I will not be returning. I have finally had enough of the increasing number of people who go to these and who think that it is more important that they carry on their conversation throughout the entire evening, increasing it to shouting level to make sure they can hear each other over the band. I don't expect a reverential silence and I don't care how loud or out of tune someone is if they are singing along with it, but to go along and chat all night is just not on, and sadly there are more & more of them.

Spot on, there. It's such as shame when someone's giving it their all and certain people treat them like an inconvenience! I always think its possible to spend good time with your friends and still enjoy the show...

I thought I was the only one who found that irritating
