It's easy to have a big increase on sales when there was almost none before. Vinyl is just a blip, people just dont have the turntables anymore to play it.
And it's rubbish! Snap crackle pop! oh and hisssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
CF you need to get the fluff off your needle mate.
http://www.rega.co.uk/turntables.htmlI've still got some great, unplayed, picture discs, Bowie, Madness and loads more, got all my T-Rex singles still with original covers, full LP collection of Bowie & Queen and loads of Cream, Floyd, Alex Harvey, Iron Maiden plus.....
Nothing to play them on though 😞
There is an alternative to vinyl ? Still play them on a regular basis. Record player has pride of place in lounge.
I hate Demis Roussos. Why have I just pictured "Abigail's party"?
When I used to DJ there was an art to packing your record bag to cover all basis.
Now you can just take a CD wallet or memory stick with far more music on. Easier on the back but rare gems are harder to come by now. I used to love the fact I was the o lay person with a certain record.
Cobblers, vinyl sounds much better. You are just trying to make out you are young and trendy.:ears:The resurgence in vinyl sales is nothing more than a trendy fad in my opinion.
I still have 300+ vinyl albums and wild horses would not drag me anywhere near to buying a turntable to play them on.
I think the often peddle idea that vinyl sounds better is cobblers. I have listened to music and played in bands for 40 years and digital is every bit as good - it's not better but it is just as good and so much more versatile and user friendly
The current market-hyped Vinyl fad will be very short-lived and once more consigned to the scrap heap of nostalgia very soon.
Nah then richy, to cover all basis with your records. Would that include the jive bunny box set for the weddings. Daft as it seems I was the roadie one night for a DJ and that was the records he played to fill the dance floor. Then moved onto the classics.

The resurgence of vinyl could be down to the fact that there are more vinyl only labels now so if you want to play the music you have to buy the record. This is mainly house music though.
I fear that House Music being only available on vinyl suits me wonderfully well as I don't posess a turntable any longer and therefore don't expect to have to endure it.
Also the word "Music" used in this context seems to me to break the trades description act
