Both my dad and I are those annoying folk who go by their middle name. Mine is because my first name is a family tradition but my mum wanted to call me Luke - so I go by Luke.

My dad's is a little more understandable - my Grandparents were cruel enough to name him Ambrose so he goes by his middle name!

He absolutely hates it and dreads going the doctors as he knows when they shout his name out the rest of the waiting room smirks. He usually waits about 10 seconds and then nonchalantly walks in the direction of the toilet so it isn't obvious it's him.
