What would you miss

No am not Bee, remeber your post a few months back of you going there. You playing old farts V Whip the snappers next year.

Dunno mate, maybe if I can get my arse on gear.
While you're in the Gold Coast, any chance of nipping over to Tamborine and saying hi to my family for me 😂.
Not sure I'm going to get the chance of travelling up there when my work trip eventually happens 🥺

You would wish me upon your family 😳😳😂😂😂

Joking aside. Me dads sister lives in Pelican waters, north of Brisbane, don't know if I will pop over and see her. She's a bit of a fruitcake and me dad don't have owt to do with her. Families.

Off on me big jols later today, bags all packed and eventually meeting up with son in Sydney. I sent him a txt asking if he wanted owt bringing over. Just had a txt off him. A bottle of Vimto. Flippin Vimto. Of all the things this great country has he wants Vimto. I cannot even remember him drinking it in the UK.

So what would you really miss.

I fully understand that Vimto thing. In fact, just reading that brought a real feeling of nostalgia upon me. As a kid in Wigan, now a distant place, I remember Vimto with such fondness. To some, maybe to you Tash, it may seem daft, but obviously it triggers good memories in your son, as it does in me, and in how many other Northern old and middle aged, I wonder😀
Anyway, have a wonderful and safe trip, and a lovely family reunion.

With or without hot water 😁

Daughter rang from ASDA do we need owt. Flippin eck al ave a bottle of Vimto for me lad in Oz. Save me a journey and al tell him it's a pressie from you. She turned up 30 mins ago with a bottle. 2 litres 😳. Its soddin massive. 2 litres is equivalent to 2 kg. So either missis T losses the big knickers or we pick up a smaller bottle. Currently sat in ASDA car park waiting for missis T to pick up a smaller bottle.
Daughter got a large bottle coz " its only 12p more". Kids 🤣🤣

I miss being able to have all these round the world holidays - didn’t realise you were going on one , hadn’t mentioned it 🙄

I always look forward to a decent curry whenever I get back from a trip. Maybe my next trip should be to India :)

A few weeks things:

Marmite, just love it and none if the alternatives are the same.

Sausages, never found another country that does a breakfast sausage right.

Bacon sandwich, been to many countries that have bacon and bread on breakfast menus but none seem to combine the 2.

Cider, my choice of pint. Currently on holiday in Antigua and it is the first place that I have been on holiday with a bar that serves it. So nice having an ice cold pint of your preferred drink in the sun.

My cats, my cars, my house, my flat, my friends (I think I have some, but may be deluded), UK beer, the weather, proper pork related products, the wife, if I can leave her behind in this scenario, all sorts really. Oh, and no other country does moany gits like we do.

Having lived in NZ for 6 years we missed, clotted cream, gravy browning, marmite, Yorkshire tea and crispy duck. Family

And now back from NZ we miss Whittakers chocolate , Hokey Pokey ice cream , the weather and Kiwis in general , I flipping loved it there.

Just thinking about the stories from around the world with Tashyboy, will they be rammel or will he have some real adventure stuff for us
Well here's the first, checked into altrincham premier Inn. Gets to room 114. Let's just say that Missis Ts forte was dealing with phalanxes and more to do with what comes out of them. She said the room stunka tiddle. It was a disabled room and someones aim was off. Off she goes to reception for room number two, which is on the next floor. Up we goes and the room is up 14 steps and down 7. With 2 cases (loaded with vimto) weighing in excess of 20kg I was bogged off. Esp thinking of the struggle at 4 am. Walks into room number 203 backwards sweating like a fat lass in a chippy and small is me head on a low beam. Oh me tyrets kicked in. Especially when missis T giggled and said did you not see the " beware of the low beam" sign. So ave dragged me cases down to re option and gone ballistic. Now in room 3 and it's ok. Tashyboy is now in the quaint hamlet of Altrincham having a well deserved non real ale beer. Getting rid of his headache.

I would miss proper tea with proper milk. So much so, when i travel for work i take my own tea bags, not sorted a solution for milk yet...

Also, proper bacon.

We have to send stuff to America for my Bro in law, cadbury chocolate, marmite, walkers prawn cocktail crisps, tea
