Yesterday afternoon I was out walking the mutt over my local golf course, as I was walking through the rough to the right of 14th hole I'm aware of a lady golfer in the rough hidden from view from her three playing partners.

I was minding my own business when I hear "its ok I've got it" as I look up and see her drop a ball at feet and watch as she proceeds to hit it out the rough. I just chuckled to myself and ignored her. Should I have been an evil sod and shouted over to her playing partners that she was cheating?

Its not a club I'm a member of so I just walked on. Shame on her!

Should have said something like "that was a lucky find, really thick rough in there" just to let her know she had been spotted. Mind you it was probably her 5th shot :p

UUUUUUUM seen that done in a medel once only it was his dad who drop it in the first cut then shouted "I've found your ball son". Told the lad what I saw, to be fair to him he did not play it. But would he have done if nowt was said??

Your so cynical Craw. If she was cheeting surley she would have said 'it's ok i've got it' after she'd droped another ball not during the drop. I'm sure she must have been taking a drop from an unplayable. ;) :D

half way through that post I thought it was going to be about you disturbing some doris having a slash

Me too !! In fact I am that Doris and the passing gentleman and I exchanged a "good morning" as neither of us knew what else to do :o

I too would have said something along the lines of "that was lucky" or something just so she knew I knew !!

of course it could have been a bounce game, or she was 70 over par, or she was out of the hole and just playing in....................give her a break its a game for fun;)

I would have said to her I hope you blob the hole and learn from your mistakes can't comprehend cheating in any form.

I am a extremely competetive individual but would ever cheat to win

Might be that she's playing a friendly round and that they agreed from the outset just to drop it if in trouble.

Also could it of been a legitimate drop anyway? and she may have disclosed that when we finished the hole?

One of the guys I play with on a regular basis is a terrible cheat, but I turn a blind eye to it, even in comps. We often joke about him teeing his ball up in the rough, but I'm convinced he does LOL
