Condition being poor with an increase in fee's.

DV I though you played at Gleneagles? Is it really that bad? I played the Queens last Sept and thought it was in decent nick.

Yes I do/did, bumpy and crusty greens, sparse fairways, run off areas around greens are just tufts of grass in some areas, it looks like some tees on the pga have been lost they are that sparse, the PGA greens all have a sub air system but some are like patchwork quilts with new turf not patching in. On top of that ALL greens on the kings/queens for the next 6 weeks will have 50% slitting and sanding done then the other half when that half has healed!!!

It is better than it was in May but Some visiting parties are coming off and demanding money back. They are trying but something has gone wrong, and at £2500 it's not worth it as I go to play championship courses in immaculate condition. It's a shame as its a very special place but I don't take anyone there now due to the condition.

They have some committed people at the top trying hard and I'm sure it will get back to its former glory but it's too expensive to play sub standard courses at this stage.
This is all purely my opinion as some might think its ok.

Well if you've been there years you'll be one of the best to pass judgement on the condition. I feel too many people are unfairly critical of their own places and at the same token those who praise there own when they are dumps.

That said at £2.5k a year it's going to have to be perfect to ensure you get your ££££ worth

Same as most. Course condition and membership fees.

Although trying to get on our place at short notice and length of rounds, due to all the walk-ons and societies is becoming an issue.

There are two other clubs close enough to me to get there after work, if one of those dropped the joining fee's I'd be off like a shot.
