I'd also pack a spare rain coat, 2 pairs of spare trousers and a full decontamination and hazmat suit just in case someone decides to set off a chemical attack. Or it rains.

Really? Enlighten me please?
You missed the adders off the listAnd flip-flops are not recommended! paths go through woods/rhododendrons and plenty of objects to snag on.
This is totally bizarre. We all own shoes purposely designed for walking round golf courses yet people are saying don't wear them.
Doon, have you been to Wentworth? Lots of grassy banks, big crowds, rain forecast.....all adds up to slippery conditions. You wear your everyday shoes, I'll bring you a bunch of grapes when I visit you in hospital after you've slipped and broken something
Doon, let's look at this from a different angle......why would you NOT want to wear your golf shoes in this instance?
..........and my boots a lot more comfortable for a days walking on the paths surrounding the golf course.
Because he's NOT playing golf!!!! Not rocket science is it... :smirk:
