What to wear at wentworth?? Newbie help needed!!

I'd also pack a spare rain coat, 2 pairs of spare trousers and a full decontamination and hazmat suit just in case someone decides to set off a chemical attack. Or it rains.

Wear what you like. I'd wear golf shoes as they are comfy and ideal for walking long distances. Take a good waterproof in caseof showers and some food and drink as the on course vans and outlets are extortionate

When I play golf I wear golf shoes to walk round the course.

When I go to Wentworth I walk round the course, so I wear golf shoes!

Really don't see why some folk feel it's strange.

Will be taking waterproof hat and jacket stuffed in a back pack - good to go.

And golf shoes of course.

This is totally bizarre. We all own shoes purposely designed for walking round golf courses yet people are saying don't wear them.

Doon, have you been to Wentworth? Lots of grassy banks, big crowds, rain forecast.....all adds up to slippery conditions. You wear your everyday shoes, I'll bring you a bunch of grapes when I visit you in hospital after you've slipped and broken something

I don't possess a pair of walking shoes so I wear golf shoes if attending a tournament. I do have a pair of trainers but doubt if they are waterproof

I walked round Wentworth yesterday for the practice day as I have done for quite a few years and always wear golf attire and golf shoes. It was busier there than I thought it would be yesterday and they charged £10 entrance money where, for most of the time I've been going its been free entry leading up to the playing days.

As usual I have come away with a vision of how smooth and within themselves the players strike the ball, yes the ball flies but they don't try and smash it like most amateurs!

There's a much better tented village this year than many of the past years and any BMW drivers get free on site parking and don't have to use the park and ride.

I wish everyone going a great day!

I do a fair bit of hill walking, are you saying I should change my walking boots for golf shoes.
I have been to Wentworth and I did not say everyday shoes, I said walking boots/shoes.

Is it me or is this the gayist post ever!? :o Its a golf tournament, your'e a golfer I assume ... be a man (excuse me for being assumptive here) and work it out! That or perhaps discuss it with your mates down the golf club and be laughed out of the bar!! I know I would be.... For the love of god..... pleeeease.

Now can anyone tell me if I should wear blue to match my pink trousers for the medal on Saturday???;)

Doon, let's look at this from a different angle......why would you NOT want to wear your golf shoes in this instance?
