Sunday

Ingleby Barwick Teal Trophy - Stableford

41 points won, CSS was 38. A junior playing off 12 won it. I think the lad's about 13 years old, too.

This irks me as I was second with 39 points. :(

Saturday Stableford.

A couple of 41s by Cat 3 players, 37 was 3rd. Pretty standard for this time of year CSS was SSS -1.

Net 68 won ours. I was third with net 69 and had the best gross at 78. I should be happy since I was too ill to play really and my long game was rotten - 28 putts only so that tells my story from tee to green!

Er I think that will be me! :)

I shot an 81 for 43 points, and its a 2 week comp, so after 34 last week, it puts me on 77 points, 2 ahead of last weeks leader.

Thats me cut lower than 20 now too..

I shot 76 for a nett 65 to finish second, someone in with 45 points, but I still won my division and entry to the euro pro pro am, and a tidy cut of 1.4 to take me to 9.7:)

Jubilee Cup at our place today. Won it in 2010 with HTL. 4 ball better ball off 3/4 handicap. 42 points was winning when I left. Played with Hawkeye who sadly had a bit of an off day. We were well down the pecking order with a measly 32 points. We had 19 going out and thought we were doing OK especially when I parred 10, 11, 12 and 13. Then my wheels fell off but by that time his wheels, axle and big end were all dragging on the ground and we came home in the proverbial ambulance. I stuck two in the water on 18 which kind of summed up my last 6 holes.

Saturday was our invitation day.

4BBB and it was won by yours truly and my scratch partner (who did most of the work!) with 42 points.

I found out when we got in that we had won on countback as there was already a 42 in.

The guy was positively thrilled (NOT) when I told him I'd chipped in from 20yds for our birdie on the last!

Nice one partner!:D
we had another very wet night on top of a wet week, so the course was playing long, although it was in the most part in good nick with no standing water - but not much run. I had 2 birdies in first 6 holes, no pares, and was 2 better than handicap after 7. Then thinned one through 8 off a poor lie and blobbed it, stepped up to the new 9th tee for the first time and.......you guessed it, gave a balll to the lake god before hitting a lovely 3-off-the-tee to 4 foot and missed the put for a 4 (1 point), stopped for 10 minutes for a bacon buttie and tee, nutted a drive on 10 but it made the middle of the bunker - a big hit on those conditions, hit a really nice 8 to the front 3rd of the green - overhit the uphill put 5 foot past and then 3 putted from there - a 4 put and 1 point - things went downhill from there in the first qualifying comp of the season - putting me on the precipice of 14.4!!!!!
