what did you shoot today?

I ventured out to a frosty course at Woldingham today, had to go off the 10th as they had a 3 club/Turkey trot off the 1st, played some nice shots and a few howlers for 32 points.

Nice to get out and looks like we might not get any snow down here for a while at least :)
 
Felt all day feeling rough as a badgers whatsit and slumped in front of the golf, footie and rugby. Debating phoning in sick tomorrow but not sure they'll believe me in Chrimbo week. Still it'll means I won't be going to any wards for a few days and can take it easy in front of my PC
 
Played in our Turkey Trot today, frost on the ground and snow falling heavily as we teed off on the first, fully expecting the thing to be cancelled.
4BBB Stableford off full handicap, although struggling to find balls and battling on snowy temporary greens, me and my partner started as though the conditions were perfect, 1 under gross and 13 points after 5 holes! :eek:
But as the weather started to improve, the snow stopped and started melting, our play went downhill fast and we came in with 34 points, did get a two though.
 
I havent got out on our course in 3 weeks with the crap thats falling from the sky over here...

So this morning i spent and hour and a half on the range and came to the odd conclusion that accidently i may have been swinging in an S&T :O motion for the past 6 months without knowing it....

I seemed to be doing everything the swing required bar the weight shift...
So for Pig Iron i decided to preset my weight at address and well what do you know....Shanks were gone,Hooks were gone and i was hitting it as sweet as a nut Joey.......Go Figure :(
 
First event in my 2012 Race to the Harbour. I went out with no expectations, just to get out have a game and enjoy it. It worked !! Shot 80-13-67 chuffed to peices, didn't drive the ball particularly well but considering I've had one game (at the feild) in five weeks I'm over the moon. Really enjoyed my little winter break but now im rareing to go. When I left the clubhouse there was three of us with 67's so not far away.

Next week, winter league resumes. Currently lying second at the halfway stage so all to play for. Happy days.
 
Didn't play today but shot 34points yesturday with 2 blobs, that line does not reflect how well I actually played, 1 bad drive that resulted in a lost ball was my only real bad shot, and one duff chip.
 
Played at Littlehampton GC today - first round of 2012 and managed a gross 83. Very happy apart from a nightmare of a first hole with a high carve onto the 18th fairway followed by a shank into the gorse. Played matchplay with my mate and lost on the last although he played a remarkable bunker shot when I thought I had it sewn up.

Nice course and the weather was pretty benign which helped a lot - thouroughly enjoyable day :cheers:
 
Played yesterday in an absolute hoolie, and scored 28 points stableford, played a bit poorly.

Was lucky enough to play again today, not as breezy but quite wet.
Scored 40 points stableford with one blob. Really pleased with my game today as the 17 holes I scored on were only 6 over par.

Just hope I can keep this going in to the season.

Yeah, not gonna beat myself up though. Lost two balls in the water on the one hole for an 8 and then parred the next and chipped in for a birdie 2 on the one after that!! If only I could put it all together one day................ :mmm:
 
I'm yet to really get going this year.
Played twice and not scored well although I did the front 9 in +1 gross on Friday....
Too many missed putts thanks to deep footprints on the greens not fading back into the turf....
