What a shot!!!!

Don't worry Mike - I'm on your side...
The Albatross was a superb shot but it was a "bog-standard" fairway shot. His intention was to get the ball on the green. K.owing the slope would take it down to the hole, as long as he hit the shot well it was always going to go close.
Phil's wedge was one in a million..

I'm not saying that it was a better or worse shot. I'm Phil's biggest fan but under the current circumstances if Louis goes onto win then that'll be the shot that'll be remembered similar to Tiger's 05 bunker shot. Or Phil from the Pines in 2010

I knew you'd see it my way Iain :D

Louis' Albatross for me!
The way it turned round the corner and dropped on its last roll, wonderful, I'll certainly remember that a lot longer than Phil's flop.

And while Phil's was an outrageous shot to play in the circumstances it certainly wasn't a shot that nobody but Phil could play, I think that given a couple of dozen balls and my Dunlop 64 degree wedge even I could have got one to stick on the green ;), but give me Louis' position in the fairway and a million balls and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't hole one.

That's what makes a shot of the tournament for me. :D

Great shot from Louis but a lot of luck involved.

Hope he doesnt win as thats why Charl won last year, 2 lucky hole outs.........

It's sad that people belittle stunning shots as lucky when basically every well struck shot could be described that way.

Great shot! Obviously an element of luck in it; where Mickelsons lob was just pure talent!

Shot of the tournament will be between these 2 - winner to be determined by who wins the trophy...

:)

Just as Phil was lucky to get a lie that allowed his shot. Did you see the similar one he tried earlier and failed miserably? Ho hum, all that "pure talent" didn't do much then!

Difference was Phil was trying to get up and down and executed a tough shot perfectly, i reckon he would do that 8/9 times out of 10. If he holed out, I would say lucky. You could give Louis 100 and he wouldnt do that again. He would get close, which was his intention, but wouldnt hole out.

Luck isnt bad, I just like to see the best player win, difficult this week as they are all putting so poorly!!!
