I'm in the market for a full set of clubs for my 13yo son, he has a junior set at the moment but they're too short for him now.

I'd prefer a "decent" set that is going to last him and I need a full set of irons, right handed with standard loft & lie, driver, 3W & 5W, a putter is not required.

I dont want to spend a fortune either as he's at that age where he could easily give up, and if i'd just spunked £100's on a set i'd probably kill him!!

Anyone with anything fairly new & decent lying around in the garage??

Keith
up in the loft I have (in good condition) a set of John Letters Trilogy irons, graphite shafted. Standard loft and lies.
Also have Callaway Steelhead plus driver, 3 and 5 woods, graphite shafted (firm but they are not too stiff more like regular) and they too are in good condition. The driver is standard sized (pre 460cc) but they served me well for a good few years and are very forgiving.
Let me know if they are of any interest to you....
Rob

Are they all decent enough and forgiving enough for a 13yo novice?

I reckon so Keith.
You won't get better woods than Callaways old Steelhead plus's mate. They served me well.
And the irons, being "Trilogy" have progressive weighting and differing cavity backs the further up the clubs you go.
Have a think about it and do some research. I think they would be perfectly acceptable for him.
And these John Letters irons are pukka ones...before AG took them over I think.
;)

I think £100.00 would be fair Keith?
As I say, the clubs are all in reasonable condition, I don't think you'd have cause for complaint mate.
Woods would even come with the proper headcovers
;)
