This looks like its going to be another tough US Open with players who have practised there saying how hard it is and a predicted winning score of +5 +6 ive gone with three players who play difficult courses well.

Retief Goosen 200/1 two time US Open winner and currently showing some decent form.
Martin Kaymer 66/1 Good current form, previous winner and again plays the tough courses well.
Jordan Speith 9/1 bit short a price for me but after last years win at the horrendously difficult Chambers Bay I just had to back him.
Who you going with guys :)

Silly "feeling" bets for a bit of fun, no sense or strategy, just a bunch of players I'd really like to see up there or thereabouts. I've gone each way on:

Dustin Johnson 15/1
Matt Fitzpatrick (go on, son!) 66/1
Hideki Matsuyama 33/1
Bryson DeChambeau 100/1
Danny Willett 40/1

Luke Donald and Shane Lowry for me short game specialists

You may well be proven right, but in my opinion short game skills count for diddly this week because miss the green and you only have one shot, and there's not a massive amount of skill in playing out of 4" thick grass like a bunker shot onto greens running at 14'+.

Rory for me. On his day one of the best drivers on tour, long enough to play 2 irons and fairway woods off the tee into position.
Even when he finishes down the field he still makes birdies, just too many bogeys to go with it. Course set up this week will ensure everyone is making bogeys.

DJ has half a chance too for the same reason, plus he's hugely strong to get out of the rough when he misses a fairway, but I just can't see home playing 72 holes without 3 or 4 holes that put paid to his chances.

Unless he's sorted out his wides, Spieth is toast.

Agree with that. Only reason I'm not backing Rory is the odds aren't worth it. Koepka is a good bet, thought about him but needed to stick to a small number of players instead of going silly. Pretty much a guarantee I've cursed myself by not backing him now.

I've put into a little syndicate, but not placed my own bets, as I'm currently clueless. We've gone with Ricky, Grace and Walker. If we get anything back, it's a miracle.

I'm backing Dustin though he's on the verge of being filed with Furyk.

At least he wont get rattled he just doesn't give a dam[so laidback].

I get annoyed at him for not giving a hoot, it's so annoying to watch him show no emotion whatsoever. Not even a shake of the head.

His mrs is a little beauty though.
