I think you'll find that if they're MORE than 6 players finish in the top 6 places your stake will be reduced accordingly.

I think there's a chance he can make it if the start is delayed or something like that. Seems unlikely.I thought he is missing it because he is going to attend his daughters graduation. I see he has a tee time, but is he starting?
It only happens if more than one player ties for the last place that that particular bookmaker is paying places on. For example if 2 people finished tied for 8th you'd only get paid out based on half your stake.
This is why I don't think it's worth backing a 20/1 shot each way. It's already 1/5 odds and if there's a tie for the lower places it gets divided even more. You probably want to go at least 50/1 and upwards for each way bets.Here is the link to paddypowers terms if it helps anyone!
