Does anyone have any good suggestions for a golf break in the South of England for me, the wife, our newborn daughter and my in-laws?

In laws both play golf to a very good standard, my wife doesn't play at all and we would ideally have enough to keep us busy outside of playing golf as well.

Historically we have holidayed at St Mellion, Cornwall which was a great set up as it has 2 golf courses as well as amenities for young families.

Cost is a factor, location is a factor (we live in Surrey, in laws live in Suffolk) so it needs to be commutable within 2-4 hours from their.

Thanks!

Some great courses in the Bournemouth area. A couple of them have accommodation too. Dudsbury and The Dorset Golf and Country Club.

If you are in that area you need to play Broadstone, Parkstone and Ferndown. Bournemouth is full of very old people though.

What time of the year you looking at , you have around 26 courses in the area , Meyrick Pk has a gym and swimming pool as well as a small hotel Dudsbury and East Dorset are summer tracks , there are a few hotels that do golf as well , we also have the BIC here for shows and others to keep the non golfers busy , if its the summer time then you do well to find anywhere to beat Bournemouth ...................EYG

Thank you for all the advice, I'll do some research on the suggested places.
In terms of time of year - not sure yet but I imagine it could be any time between Feb and June.

I'm looking forward to getting out on a golf course some time soon but with a 17 day old daughter I can't imagine the wife agreeing to this just yet!
