TV Series - What Are You Watching?

I have to agree, watched the first Night Agent season 2 last night.....why do the producers almost always screw things up with season 2 (or 2nd movie) of something that was popular? They always seem to think that they need to make things with more action and exciting. Rarely works.

The Traitors USA series 2. 😄. There is a series 3 too! And a NZ series! Done the Aussie one.
The NZ one is a bit meh, shows that you need a fun host not someone who takes it too seriously - and the prize is pathetically small.

However the US version is like the UK one turned up to 11.

It doesn’t get any better 🫤

I've started American Primeval on Netflix. Blimey it's grim. Is it worth sticking with?

How far in are you, don’t want to drop any spoilers…..

I stuck with it, but it's grim and unhappy. The main female character is just really stupid all the way through. I could have probable dealt with that, but the thing that really wound me up was the "machine gun arrows" in the attack, i.e. the hail of arrows, how many arrows that were so accurate from a handful of attackers riding on horses, it was just too ridiculous for me and switched me off instantly. I like Taylor Kitsch, ever since I watched the excellent Friday Night Lights. With him and Peter Berg teaming up for this I was really looking forward to it......... all in all I was disappointed with it.

I'm not working through the winter so have a lot of time on my hands at the moment, watching more TV than usual.

We started The Road Trip, on Paramount+. Three episodes in and am starting to wonder whether we want to finish it, I don 't really like any of the characters in it....

Have been watching Jin on Netflix. It's a Japanese drama in the "Life on Mars" vein. A surgeon has an accident and wakes up in the samurai era. It's a little far fetched at times, but I'm still enjoying it, will carry on with season 2.

The Crow Girl on Paramount+. Thought it was good and we enjoyed it.

I've started Paradise on Disney. Quite intense, interesting so far. There is quite a bit of jumping backwards and forwards between past and present so if that isn't your thing, give it as miss. It is not confusing though, it's quite clear when it is happening.

I've done 2 episodes, definitely worth checking out, so far anyway.

Yeah, the 3 series that were on Netflix and now in Disney are great, as is Jessica Jones and The Punisher. Luke Cage and Powerfist less so. All join up in The Defenders series. New series of Daredevil coming soon
Oh really?? I thought that was all done and dusted ages ago. I also thought the Daredevil series' were excellent. The rest of those weren't quite as good.

Nope, Born Again coming to Disney plus soon. Same style and cast as Netflix. Direct continuation. Trailer on YouTube, looks good
