TV Series - What Are You Watching?

Netflix has a documentary on the 1984 Miners' strike. It is a very emotive subject of course and the program is really well put-together, edited and produced. If only it had not been so completely skewed in the favour of one side. As a journalist I can understand having a remit before writing an article or making a program but this was unfortunately beyond that. Such a shame as the potential for a really ground-breaking documentary was there.

But only reporting one side of the story is de rigueur nowadays.

Finished this the other night, really, really good, it’s amazing how people can write stories like this, the thought process is unbelievable, when you watch it you’ll understand what I mean 😀
Because of the mentions on here we are giving Devils Hour a go…3 episodes in and it’s good stuff! We are not fans of jumpy stuff and this is on the limit of what we can take!😁

I’ll give that a miss then, things like that bother me more than they really should 😬

I think it's meant to be odd as she's lived in Canada and England and may even have been born in Australia. So her accent comes up early on. Based on a true story so no doubt the writer feels it's important to be true to that...but it does sound a bit odd.

I do like Maxwell, very versatile actress.
Motherland & Line of Duty couldn’t be any further apart.

Still working way through only fools

Started season 4 tonight, grandads passing. Introduction of uncle Albert

Love when I know exactly what's going to happen. Even can say the lines and it's still bloody hilarious

Watched the first 3 of Generation Z on channel 4, I like a good zombie yawn so this one is right up my street
Watched the first episode last night. Very enjoyable if a bit extreme in places, that scene with the dog!

If you liked this, you should watch Sightseers, also directed by Ben Wheatley. A very very black comedy, I loved it.
