TV Series - What Are You Watching?

Ragnarok - I've finished it now. Is that the end of series, full stop? Odd ending, seemingly half way through the series someone told the writers there will be no 4th series, so please wrap it up?
It does look that way. I have to rewatch the last episode - I think I understand but not sure……

As no one has mentioned them, Phoenix Nights and Succession would be up there for me with the Wire. GOT (minus the last season ) also gets my vote. Still plodding through BCS and BB, finding them difficult to binge though.
Looking forward to the Morning Show coming back.
Oh and while we’re on great series Deadwood and 1883 are phenomenal.

Winning Time, S2 on Sky. Follows the rise of the LA Lakers in the early 80's. You don't have to be interested in basketball to enjoy it. It's good stuff, fictional incidentally, it's not a documentary.

For Reality TV fans…My Mum, Your Dad on ITV1 looks fun, heartwarming and interesting - unlike most new reality stuff - Traitors aside - which are cynically manipulated by the contestants. First ep last night and on daily. Single 40+ers whose children have decided they need to find proper companionship and, if possible, love. And there is no contest, no winner, and no prize…other than, with any luck, the embryo of a lasting relationship.

Scratching around a bit for stuff to watch at the moment. Just finished Lioness on Paramount plus. Decent enough but a bit rushed at the end. The Recruit on Netflix. Not sure is knows where it wants to go at times, sort of feel it wants to be a bit funnier that it is and is therefor just an OK spy show. Helped pass some time.

Nice to see Star Trek Lower decks is back, always a good watch.

With the strikes etc I guess it could be a while before anything new comes out.

I don't have Disney but has anyone seen Justified : City Primeval? Any good.

@SwingsitlikeHogan I think you have the dodgiest taste of anyone on this forum :ROFLMAO: . You keep trying to tempt people with reality tv but no one ever bites. I like your perseverance though 😄
Not so…I know for a fact that there are at least a couple of fans of The Traitors on here 🤫

Most reality stuff is indeed rubbish, but My Mum, Your Dad looks a bit different as there is no competition element - other than possibly between individuals for the affection of another.

Plus of course there is the twist in that, unknown to the parents, the children watch on and create situations for their parents to cope with - and that has already created some funny, some heartwarming and some genuinely sad moments.

And I’ll add…as far as my taste is concerned. Life isn‘t easy at the moment and I’d rather watch gentle and quite light ‘wash over me’ TV than any sort of deep murder, gangs, drug and violence TV. Not for me thankyou.

Interesting discussion above on some great series and it shows that we all like slightly different things. My take FWIW:

The Wire - it takes time to build, but for me the best.
The Sopranos - very good and enjoyed it
Breaking Bad - wanted to like it, but didn’t do it for me and gave up half way through S2
GoT - very different, but really enjoyed it
Mad Men - not mentioned in the discussion, but I thought this was great
Frasier - my favourite US comedy series

Currently watching Suits, somewhat over the top and not in the same league as the above, but something I can watch that the other half also enjoys

Guilty pleasure time, Sort Your Life Out. The de-cluttering show with Stacey Solomon. Oddly addictive and fascinating. How can people live knee deep in stuff? Why does anyone need 27 frying pans or 23 coats (the woman last night really did have 23 coats incidentally)

Star of the show is the joiner. I know there will be a team behind the scenes but I can't see them so he gets the love. So clever in his ingenious ways of storing things and making life easier with little ideas. Oh to have him for 2 days in my house 😄

We run out of puff watching Ozark. Were enjoying it but somewhere in S3 we must have gone on holiday; lost track of who, what, why and when, and couldn’t be bothered rewinding.

Literally just came on to post about it. Finished it yesterday, absolutely loved it. If you like the original, you will not be disappointed. It’s a different prospect to the original, but Tim Olyphant is always brilliant at playing Raylan Givens.

I heard that they are going to go again, and the ending surely supports that…. Get it done.
