TV Series - What Are You Watching?

Just finished The Gold season 2. Far better than the first series which tried to portray double murderers as seemingly ‘cheeky chappies’ and had a weird class war theme.
Second series is far better but a bit cheesy, with Hugh Bonneville’s character seemingly just delivering plot exposition.
As is often the case with such true crime dramas I would have preferred a decent documentary but fell for the hype.

Not Going Out.
Loved it from the first series.
This series, 14, is just so disconnected.
Ep1 the house inspection - good old fashioned farce. Funny.
Ep 2 the sex doll - totally surreal. Funnyish.
Ep 3 the two are bit actors in a fantasy "Game of Thrones" t programme (why/how?). Not so funny and no thread to previous episodes.

Oh my god, is that still on?? I thought it must have finished a decade ago! Must have been on about 20 years by now!?

I'm not sure, I thought the first series was better.

The second seemed to carry on that class theme with the Cambridge pair that was totally over the top. When Noye was on the run he was living like a king, flying in and out of various countries and bought a cliffside mansion. He wasn't hiding away in a bedsit or in some woodland. When he got nicked he had no idea anyone was watching him.

The dodgy cop was a good addtion and Charlie Miller's character was was cast. First was a 9/10, second a solid 7/10 IMO.

Anyone watched Silence is Golden? 75 audience members get £250k between them at the start of the show and ‘comedians’ try to get them to make a noise which loses them money. Some audience members get offered money (£200 ish) to make a noise to stop embarrassing videos, or to get gifts and it is interesting to see the other members turn on them - with sign language .
Most of the comedy is rubbish but interesting to watch how the audience act.

It's a channel that is mystery/ detective driven. Mainly bought in, some of their own. It's a decent channel if you like that type of program. It's free to air as well.
