TV Series - What Are You Watching?

Just finished “Lessons in Chemistry” on Apple TV+. Poignant, heart warming, great realisation of 1950s American- thoroughly recommended.
Just started “Severance” again on Apple. Encouraging intriguing beginning.

My Father in Law was stationed at Coningsby for years as a WO until he retired a few years ago. Still lives in the area too...

He messaged on our group chat last night "I'll watch to people spot...but it's only slightly less cringey than the last series" 😆

I don’t think it’s possible to do these types of series without it being cringey 😂

Got to make it Hollywood

I love the Throwdown but there's one contestant I really don't warm to at all. Said annoying person is rather good so not going anytime soon!

Maybe this should be in the Random Irritations thread.
Has me puzzled.

Out of the remaining contestants the geezers are all fairly good and quite boringly so apart from tall Jonathan who keeps being surprised to be not going home each episode.
I find him to be the most entertaining one. Favourite to be next out, though. I could sit down with him for a few pints, a game of dominoes and tell stories to each other.
Imy and Francesca lack confidence and fret a lot. But they seem very likeable.
Diana - boringly good like the geezers mentioned above. She doesn't push herself forward or play to the camera much. Seems a solid character.

Natalie - I like her because she says "chuffed" a lot. And she looks like the best bet to beat the boringly capable geezers.
Good decoration skills which can be the thing that wins the final, if she gets there and her construction is sound.

But Nat's personality is the one most like the Bakeoff winner who you didn't warm to - so there's my guess.

You've probably summed it up. I quite like boring, solid, talented people who lack confidence :-)

Probably summed myself up too (still looking for my talent though)!!

Yes, I should have mentioned that I like Diana as well. But she is more like me in character than the rest I suppose. That could also be because she is the oldest - younger than me though!

First episode of the new series of 'Death in paradise '.

Not liking the new detective, far too wooden.
Should have stuck to eastenders (him not me)

I like a bit of Love it or List It. Kirsty, or the architects, work wonders week after week. This series has been a little flat as the love it person have largely been sour, miserable and not even remotely open to moving.

Last night however was a really good episode. Brilliant transformation, interesting options but more importantly a really lovely couple. No nastiness, no sarky comments or digs, both parties appreciating the other perspective. I won't comment on the outcome but it was just a very pleasant watch.

Well I didn't see it that way. It was real life and a highly dangerous mission. And of course who knows what the Russians might do.

That bit wasn’t cringey - that was good to watch

It’s the build up with the “fighter tash” from Flt Lt Josh

It’s a good watch but it’s the same with the programs about the navy and army - it gets a little hamed up at times

We really enjoy it, but there isn’t really any will they or won’t they, they just normally go with whatever the wife wants 😁

Didn’t see last nights though so might not apply this time.

I mentioned "One Day" - it is really good though. I was so happy to realise there are more than 10 episodes as was sure the one I just watched was the final one

I think I'll forgive them/him for that. I'm sure it's a case of pre flight nerves.
Anyway, Tom Cruise never had a Tash! 😛
