Just watched quantum of solace, WHAT A FILM! Got me wondering who are your top 3 bonds? Mine are; -

I played Golf with Daniel Craig, well kind of. He was hitting balls in the bay next to me at the World of Golf (New Malden). He is an absolute unit of a bloke, didnt have it in my locker to tun around and say hello.

Connery, original bond has to get a mention for setting the benchmark for others to beat but was a little too plasticcy for me and knowing he wore a syrup took a little off the edge for me.

My good lady works with an ex Army guy.

He was telling her years ago at an army dinner, Connery was a guest. As the beer and shorts flowed the army guys kept asking Sean if he had done any of the Bond girls?

He kept refusing to spill the beans until late into the night, when he came away with "1967 Miss Moneypenny up the arse"

I like my Bonds more serious and less gadgets. Moore was a joke.

He only wore a syrup in "Never say never again", which technically isn't an official Bond movie, so it doesn't count.
Connery is the best followed by Brosnan, then Moore.

I believe he wore them from the very start in Doctor No, NSNA was just the most obvious.
He was going bald from a relatively early age, I read somewhere it was his late teens.

I'll agree with your choices there for the top three.
Although Moore is entertaining, he was never a Bond. He was always "The Saint"... His quips were always a bit too corny & trite. He was certainly smooth, but could be annoying.

I'd actually carry on the list for 4th, 5th & 6th as follows

6th)Moore

I ust have watched each one 30-40 times.

I like Moore but they were always a little too tongue in cheek.
Craig is making an excellent fist of it.
I started to watch QOS this morning but when the family came down stairs I turned it off cos they were making too much noise. Try again tomorrow afternoon. Plenty of action in the first 20 minutes.

i wouldn't have Brosnan in my top 5, let alone top 3!
he's a dreadful wooden actor and the scripts of the bond films at the time were bobbins too.

Connery's early films were spot on very gritty and darker, the Bond films all went massively too P.C. for my liking for years they're getting back on good form now. Quantam of solace was the best bond film for decades, I'd actually consider going to the pictures again to watch the next one.

my top 3 would be,

1) Connery
2) Craig
3) Lazenby
