Tiger Woods comeback: Make up your own mind here....

It seems that all the behavioural experts I've seen quoted in the press and on the news today have all said that his voice eyes and body language all point to someone reading out rehearsed lines and not an apology deep fromthe heart. I don't think he's got the reation he wanted in the media either so it'll be interesting to see where he goes next. I think the fact that his wife wasn't there (did you see the look on his mums face throughout too) spoke volumes

U needed experts for that, I think the fact he kept looking down at his script may have given it away for most :D

Did the 'behavioural experts' see his coupon while he actually wrote his speech?! :D

What a load of pish, of course they were rehearsed, does anyone actually think he was speaking without rehearsal!

By the way he was talking yesterday i think he said what had to be said he meant it but wants to put things right which is all he has on his mind and does not care whether the press or public think it was heart felt or not and TBH i cannot see him reading the sun on a saturday morning anyway ;).

listen we all have our own opinions, but one thing stands true. he is the best golfer in the world by LONG way, and the game needs him,hes hes full of himself, but a high percentage of the worlds best sportsmen are imbalanced in their makeup(not lipstick, lol),think of gazza, george best, maradona, our own jim baxter, that what makes them different from us mere mortals!

The game does not NEED tiger woods. It is a pleasure to have him, BUT it would not come to a stand still if he never played again!

I agree the game would just be as good for us without him but the PGA tour will be no more i think fincham will be crapping himself that he is not playing because no tiger = less crowds = less sponsors interst so i think golf really does need him when he was off with his injury the tour struggled with crowds because he was not there.

i meant in the financial aspect. these guys are playing for a fortune now, and hes a large part of it.Finchem was on tv saying the pga tour is fine for another 2 yrs, and after that the deals are re-negotiated, do you think they would be as large without tiger?

Probably not but there are decent up an comings who will stir up enough interest. Its not like the PGA tour will fold when Tiger retires is it?

Next generation - McIlroy, Fowler, Kim, Ishikawa etc etc will always ensure pro golf will continue and be followed. There was always going to come a point when TW was going to go away, I mean I can't see Tiger on tour after age 40 if he has achieved his 18 or 18+ majors by then - that's only 6 years away.

There will be life after TIger. I don't think this weeks WGC tournament has been lessended by his absence at all. People are getting used to him not playing now.

LPGA tour is never going to be as popular as the mens, its the same in all sports. Look at the womens world cup, premier league etc. Alot of them work day jobs there is that little money in it. Its just they way things are.

There is waaaay to much money to be changed hands in golf and so it will out live us all!

Thing is Birdieman the PGA tour is going to be a much lesser place without the greatman, before his self enforced lay off sponsors were pulling out or cutting back due to economic climate, now rumour has it as many as 5-7 events will not be happening at all next season never mind going ahead with less prize fund as sponsors run to the hills with the Tiger factor being added to the economic climate. It aint just sponsor money that will be lost, without the tours greatest asset TV contract cash will be well down so in turn again prize fund will decrease.

The quicker he comes back the better for golf in general, less events = less coverage = less hope of people taking up the game sadly.Yes others will step up to the void left if he doesn't return but none with the pulling power of Tiger.

All these Pro's who were whinging at the fact Woods held his conference on Friday need to wake up and realise without him they will be competing for less cash.
