tiger spit

Shouldn't he be carrying and using a hankie if he wants to clear his nasal passages, it may be old fashioned but I know I do.

It would also come in handy to wave at the winner (like Hale Irwin did to Seve) :whoo:

Graeme Swann's double golly at Lords today knocked Tiger's single effort into a cocked hat. We got a nice view of that as Sky's Ashes camera was zoomed right in on the England spinner. I wonder if Cricket Monthly's forum is abuzz with Swann's effort rather than England's win to go 2-0 up? Doubt it, as in the grand scheme of things, it ain't that important. Mind you, it's only a few weeks ago before we go through this topic again for the 429th time...

Haven't read all the posts on this thread but tbh i'm not really offended by it. Yes its a bad habit but it doesn't really register with me as I think there are far bigger concerns than spitting.

The one thing I love about this game and the range of golfers I play with at my club is that I'm yet to meet a golfer who sneers at high handicappers.

speaking of which, there are Passionate posts here about not spitting on the golf course, yet most of you are quite happy to stand beside the tee, whip it out and urinate:angry:

...theres no chance anyone could walk/sit there or a ball could go through it is there:rolleyes:

I don't understand people that feel the need to spit at all. People that say it's unacceptable on a golf course, but OK if running around on a football pitch? Well I played football regularly when I was younger and never felt the need to spit. It's a disgusting habit whoever is doing the spitting and completely unnecessary whether they are on the golf course, on a football pitch or stood at a urinal

Simplest and best quote on this imo. One of the very reasons why spitting doesn't even enter my head on the course as a bad habbit. Often see people having a pee in places where it's higly likey and ball could end up just off the edge of a fairway or near a tee box.

Tiger Woods is just a scumbag IMO. He's a classless yob with no style or a thought for anyone else. He has no interest in what other people think of him, he treats women like dirt nor does he have any manners or respect for others watching or playing with him. When he spat on the green that one time, I nearly jumped through the TV to smack him one....Icc:angry: cant see anyone arguing otherwise, personally the man is not someone you want your kid to watch or emulate. But thats the point he has a responsibility to millions of kids to do the right thing and he constantly doesn't nor does he care.

That said he is one of the finest talents ever and probably the best by far a this moment and by that fact alone you have to respect him accordingly. Its time for Tiger to man up and do the right thing. This is a Gentleman's sport and and he needs to be reminded of that.
