tiger spit

Amanda, I've been a member of many forums over the years and they all have the same characteristics to certain degrees.
All threads deviate.
The most innocuous can end up in a flame fest.
All forums have keyboard warriors who would never behave as they do in a normal face to face social interaction.

I think this is my third/fourth post and I'm pleased to find a forum about golf but nothing will surprise me about the chemistry between posters.
I'm way past taking matters personally and seriously - I've seen vicious and spiteful posts from sad trolls - and I just look for the more enjoyable interactions/opinions/posts etc

WOW, all I was expecting was a few opinions from fellow forumers, instead I get 13 pages of cat fights, snipes, arguments etc etc, wish I hadn't bothered! Few sensible posts though, if you squint you can just spot them ;)

For those interested I didn't intend for this thread to descend into a Tiger bashing thread, for the record I think he's a fantastic golfer and a great inspiration (his style of play, not his personal life or his spitting!)

Welcome to the forum Sid, please dont judge this forum on comments you read in this thread, it really isan excellent forum, most of the time :)

MODS feel free to close this/delete or whatever you like, bit of a blight on our community!

Tiger bashing. A forum staple. On a par with driver distances, chippers and shorts and white socks. I find spitting abhorrent irrespective of where and when and by whom but at the end of the day there are many things out of my control and TV pictures of Woods gobbing is one of these. I hope he gets fined but there are bigger things in life to worry about. I don't do it and would rather my playing partners didn't but again, providing it isn't on the line of my putt, live and let live. Life's too short
