Lets all send our best to Seve in this time of trouble.

As someone who came to the game late I was not fully aware of his status and impact on European golf.
It is not too much of a strech to say that the Tour would not be anywhere near as it is without him,he had an effect no less than Tiger on our side of the pond.

He could have easily cashed in by heading to the USA and made even more money. I know there are good and bad points to his nature but just look at how he brought Europe up off its knees by sheer force of will.

Great is a word used too freely these days but this man surely qualifies.

"Gravely ill" was the last I saw on beeb site following scan on brain. Does not sound good but a medical statement will be made tomorrow which should shed more light.

His autobiography was a fantastic read and actually served as some inspiration to me whilst I was feeling blue about the game.

Best wishes Seve for a recovery.

I read today in a popular Spanish newspaper, ''El Mundo'' that Seve was out of intensive care and in a ward at La Paz hospital in Madrid. I'm rooting for him.
