Completely Agree with you Parmo you cannot underestimate the power of the crowd, who would become thirteeth man.

Nothing against Monty or olly but being lead by a welshman in wales would be an advantage we should not dismiss.

I think Ollie should do it for two cups, as having a new captain every time doesn't really work for me. It must take time to get into the job, and there must be things that if you did it again you would do differently (except Faldo, who says he would change nothing - idiot).

That was me. I think he deserves another chance! The team thought he was brilliant and if it wasn't for the americans playing unbelievably well on the sunday then we could all well be singing from a different hymn sheet, so to speak!
Just my opinion though and to be fair, I've only been into golf for eight months!

I think Woosnam would be good for Wales as well - would certainly create the passion as you mention.
Olazabal for US then Monty for Scotland in 2014.

But me, I still want Lyle to get it, with Ollie in the US then Monty at Gleneagles.

Faldo should never be seen anywhere near a Ryder Cup again, and that has nothing to do with the result, I thought he was a bad pick, and much of what he did proved that to be the case.

Actually agree with murph, Ollie for two, then Monty for two although that almost demands that he be vice to Ollie in the US but if he is ever to Captain there he has to beat the demon.

Should never be Sandy Lyle though, after what he did at The Open he should never get it. Showed a complete lack of respect for the greatest competition in golf!

I would go for Faldo again. His much criticised two picks performed pretty well but his 'big guns' let him down a bit. On top of that, the Yanks performed well above expectations. You can't really fault Faldo's team arrangement and he deserves another go at it.

I said Sandy just because, he should get a turn. Woosnam should be the pick for reasons already stated although why not give Faldo another go? If Olly does get it, he should get it for 2 attempts, one in Europe and one in the US as should future Captains.

Ollie for me. He's been around the Ryder cup block, is still in touch with what is going on on the tour and has been a vice captain.
