The joys of being a high handicap

Seniors Open at our place this morning - First is simplest hole on the opening stretch - shoved the tee shot into the light rough - shanked a five iron into long stuff, hacked out, then shanked a wedge OOB onto the East Coast main railway line - dropped and another wedge onto the green - two putts for an easy eight - great start.

One of my playing partners hit two tee shots onto the railway before his second provisional found the fairway - walked up and both his first two drives had bounced back onto the fairway off the tracks - he got a simple four when he could have been 5 off the tee.

Up and down round and a .1 - off to the range later to tighten up the swing - been hitting it well all week until today.

Mixed opens at Boat of Garten tomorrow and Carrbridge on Sunday - I feel a divorce coming on

Shoot a par on one hole amidst whispers of banditry (jokingly of course)

Then fire off a 10 on the next hole

Gotta pull my socks up play some comps and crack 20 (currently a 27 btw)

I know how you feel! Par'd the Par 4 1st hole yesterday and then followed it up with a blob hole on the second after 3 off the tee and then losing my second ball on the second shot.

When its good its good and when its bad its horrific! haha

Currently on 28.
