Your thinking of another channel, Setanta Golf which was different from The Golf Channel UK

Kinda right. Setanta were the providing platform broadcaster for TGC. So while not the broadcaster as such they provided the ability for it to be broadcast. It was Setanta that pulled the plug by not renewing the platform space licence.

There used to be a sort of Hybride thing as well had a silver head on it. looked like a 9 wood...

Was that K1 driver the one with Sam Torrance in the advert? I remember watching that channel before i even took up the game and that advert was on that often it nearly brainwashed me into buying one!!

Unfortunately I did buy 1. Made a horrible sound, I think the 10th hole Challenge @ The Brabazon was the final straw and reason I brought it. I did win 1 Long Drive event with it though!

Wasn't there a wedge with Kenny Dalglish in the advert, didn't he hole out from a bunker! Camera trickery........

A mate of mine (not me! Honest!) bought 'The Short Game Wizard'..........

Was that similar to the "Momentus" trainer? A wedge twice the weight. They got the then no 1 David Duval to endorse and looked what happened there...
