Crocked Professional Yeti Impersonator
The DPD man’s been!! ?
Courtesy of FootJoy and Golf Monthly, I’m now the owner of a pair of FootJoy Premiere Packard golf shoes. ?
Pebble grain leather with a small croc saddle, they look very smart indeed. The lining leather is very soft, almost glove leather soft, and reminiscent of the old FootJoy Classics. The sole has been redesigned so that it is like a hybrid of the new spikeless soles but still with a set of soft spikes ( there’s a comparison photo below with a pair of DryJoys Tour).
First impressions are that they are very soft and comfortable and allow for quick changes of direction (Mrs BiM caught me testing them on the lounge carpet; emergency avoidance tactics were required ?).
Obviously it will be a little while before they can be put to the test in the field, so to speak, but first impressions are that they are a step up from the DryJoys Tour. The insoles feel more substantive and supportive, there’s just a slightly higher quality feel to them; little touches like the more substantive aglets and the classier logo badge reinforce that.
Thanks FootJoy and Golf Monthly, they are very nice indeed. Looking forward to some decent weather and an open golf course...
