He was always going thie summer, the club had decided that. I imagine not having his £400k week wages helps things
Surprised no fee involved.

No idea how it compares to others![]()
Me neither, but my initial reaction is that you’d expect it to be higher?
Depends if they are playing two up front. When they play 4-3-3 things look a bit odd.In my experience a good showing by Brest can be quite persuasive
I feel really sorry for adults then, who want to buy the entire kit for themselves. The price of England World Cup shirts is just bonkers! £105 for an adult top and even £65 for a kids kit.
No wonder folk buy snides. The price of England World Cup shirts is just bonkers! £105 for an adult top and even £65 for a kids kit.
Saw a post this morning shared on Facebook where some guy had made this exact comment you’ve put on. He said to buy himself and his 2 boys a shirt including postage was something like £250, to buy an exact replica from DHGate including postage was £73.No wonder folk buy snides.
Exactly and the loudest seem to be those who like to tell us that adults shouldn’t be seen dead in footy shirt.Football fans moan about ticket, food, drink and kit prices as if buying any were compulsory.![]()
Maybe because they buy them for their kidsExactly and the loudest seem to be those who like to tell us that adults shouldn’t be seen dead in footy shirt.![]()
I didn’t even know you played in that game.I've still got my red one from '66.
I mean both opinions can be true. Adults look like knobs in footie kits and they are expensive and over priced. Just because it’s the same people complaining doesn’t make them wrongExactly and the loudest seem to be those who like to tell us that adults shouldn’t be seen dead in footy shirt.![]()
Majority of income comes from corporate sponsors these days and not fans.Well something has to help pay for all those high paid players
Not many clubs are running at profit and National FA’s - clubs are always looking at ways to bring more money in

Last time I went to Wembley there were more people in the Club Wembley seats and boxes than there were in the main stands.
Key point there being that last line “the biggest clubs”. People will always buy merchandise especially of the bigger clubs, no different to us golfers buying the latest and greatest kit each year. Doesn’t mean though that the opinion of it being overpriced and out of reach for many others is wrong.Liverpool for example under the previous Nike contract made around £130mil each year from merchandise with around £80mil on shirt sales
England FA make around £30 from each shirt sold
Whilst there are huge revenues streams with media prob being the biggest clubs make a lot from merchandise

Regardless of what England make from the shirt compared to Nike it’s irrelevant to the consumer and why so many buy knockoffs from places like DHGate it’s more affordable for them.
I don’t disagree with you but people’s shouldn’t be chided for holding that opinion though as happens so often. It’s the same with anything - always overpriced
Just highlighting that clubs will look at anyway to increase their revenue streams and merchandise is a key one
The knockoffs money doesn’t go to the club so someone else will be get richer elsewhere
I don’t disagree with you but people’s shouldn’t be chided for holding that opinion though as happens so often.
I also don’t disagree with anything you’ve said just pointing out how it still doesn’t make an opinion wrong.
Knockoffs money goes elsewhere agreed but it also keeps a lot more money in the pockets of the parents that may need to save a few quid. I understand though when parents buy knockoffs for their 3 kids at say a total of £80 all in compared to nearly £200 delivered from the FA, as that extra money could be used to out food on the table for a week. I’m not saying it’s right but people cut their cloth accordingly so it’s understandable.
