Referee in the WHU - BRE game is just shirking his responsibility.

Obvious penalty and he doesn't give it, allows play to go on for fully 50 seconds until the ball goes out of play. Then VAR recommends on-field review and the penalty is given fully 2 minutes after the initial incident.

I knew there was a reason I was avoiding watching matches on TNT you’ve just reminded me of what it was.

Regarding the ref though and without watching the game I’m hardly surprised, they’re all getting far too reliant on it as a crutch for them not to make mistakes rather than actually refereeing the games.

Most co-commentators these days are bloody awful. Their expert views more often than not show far too much bias and is complete drivel.

In TNT’s defence the Fletcher McCoist pairing is the best commentary TEAM on TV, IMO. Too bad everything else they do Studio and Pitchside is terrible.
