What is it about Newcastle not bothering to mark men at the back post?

Need to stay in the game now for the next 20 mins and then see if some substitutions can give us some momentum.

Savinho giving Lewis Hall one of his hardest games in a long time. Good job City havent bothered to target Trippier on the other wing.

I’m not sure if it’s just me 2 great games today but the commentary teams have driven me mad by constantly going on about the magic of the cup, how much it means to certain people (who the camera is on).

We all know it’s a great competition with a fantastic history but now unfortunately it does come behind the premier league and champions league due to the money involved in those 2 competitions.

Let us just enjoy great football matches without pushing it constantly about the magic of the cup please

mmm....ultimately comfortable for City once they got their noses in front. Only bright spot was the return of Livramento. Hall had one of his worst games in a long time. Woltemade looks lost in midfield....the club need to have a clear idea of how they want him to play, as it stands I think they are robbing him of whatever low levels of confidence he might have.

Doesnt get any easier with Barca, Chelsea, Barca and Sunderland coming up!!! Still....that's what success brings, unfortunately the squad still isn't close to where it needs to be to fight deep into 4 fronts and it showed.

Impressed with city’s grit tonight, thought we would crumble once we went behind away from home .,but we didn’t and totally dominated Newcastle and should have won by more . We rested big players and the team had 10 changes since Wednesday so it was a great result
