And yet not a single player on that list looks capable or good enough to stop the rot
Yeah. Maddison and Kulusevski can certainly provide an attacking threat on their day, but they won't be back until end of season at best.

And, even if players do come back, if they've been out for a while, it can take a few games to get up to match speed (well, probably quicker if they only need to get up to Spurs current level I guess)

I am going to stick my head above the parapet and say spurs won’t go down. Established premier league clubs always seem to escape other than maybe West Ham. Look at Everton. They always escape. Forget recent record. I remember some years ago I think they beat Wimbledon last game of the season to survive.

I also don’t think Spurs will go down. All the bottom clubs are playing poorly, the slight exception appear to be Wolves, who tightened up but are too far adrift.

My metric, though just an opinion formed from goals for & against, is Spurs defence is tight enough compared to those around them. Goals for isn’t good compared to those around them. If they’re can’t score, draws will do. A win or two + turning a few potential losses into draws will keep them up.

They need to defend ugly and bully the opposition when putting the ball into the box at set pieces/corners.

Any spurs fans out there, any of your star players due back shortly? Any that could save you?
Maddison was always going to be out for the season. Kulusevski, I have absolutely no idea what happened to him - originally he was meant to be back by Christmas, but he's just vanished off the face of the earth. Kudus coming back in April, supposedly, but that probably won't happen. There are definitely problems in the medical department as much as there are problems everywhere else! Countless players seem to have been out for ages with not much explanation. I reckon we should just throw Luca Williams-Barnett in. He's only about 17 but you never know!

Not sure about that, Bri.

Whilst Spurs have picked up just one point out of a possible eighteen, West Ham have picked up eight. I would suggest the latter are likely to overhaul Spurs based on that form alone.

Forest are the key. They have fared only slightly better than Spurs, and as such you would have them to be neck and neck come the end of the season. But a glance at Forest’s fixtures and they have the crunch six pointer with Spurs, and a home game against Burnley still to come. They may pick up the odd point elsewhere but do have a tough run in.

The Spurs/Forest game decides it for me. Anything less than a win for Spurs in that one and I think they’re down.

That's what I think as well. It's the mother of all six-pointers. The only way we'll end up with more points than them is by taking 3 points in that one.

They don’t need to travel very far to allegedly learn how to do that 😂

I actually think Leeds could end up going down. They've been playing well but the results have dried up and they've got to play all the relegation rivals. If a few results go badly they will be in big trouble.

Hope they stay up as they're a proper top flight club.

Reading this about Wrexham and it really is a good read. Don’t know how they have managed to do it but the money spent has ensured success, and they want more. Even more impressive as some clubs have wasted money hand over fist and gone backwards. But here is something in that piece that has really got my back up big style.
And it is this bit.
Quote,
That investment has prompted accusations from rivals that the club are buying success.

Chelsea faced similar criticism in 2003 when a little-known Russian oligarch, Roman Abramovich, transformed the club by buying it for £140m and writing off £80m of debt. Using his private wealth, Abramovich did not need to balance the books and spent £121.3m on 11 players in his first summer in charge.

Some argue his arrival paved the way for the Abu Dhabi‑backed takeover of Manchester City and Qatar's acquisition of Paris St‑Germain, moves that prompted the Premier League and European football authorities to introduce financial controls.

So let’s get this right. City who have 115 charges against them ( I and have said they are guilty) are now under the cosh, but Chelsea who did it 10 years earlier are ok. And further in the attached story the little woods empire owners did it even earlier with Liverpool. 😳 so where exactly is the line drawn. 🤔

So Wrexham take all the plaudits for spending owners money and with it success, and City get charged, and there not the only ones. 🤔

That said, good luck tomorrow Wrexham. Ave a feeling the place has changed a bit since the Stags beat them 1-0 forty odd years ago to get promotion to the old division2/ now championship.

Of those in the relegation battle, I think Forest Leeds are playing well. They could escape. Wolves have found form but are too far behind.

I looked at their form & run in this morning. Like you, I think they could be dragged into the relegation battle.

Some people owned slaves a few hundred years ago, and it was OK. But if anyone has slaves today, they would likely have a few charges against their name ;)

As for Wrexham, have they breached any laws? I don;t know anything about them apart from Deadpool.

I work with a few Leeds fans, would happily see them go down.
But would rather see Spurs go down.

Dross again in the first half.

Better second half as we moved the ball quicker.

Robbo excellent
Nice to see Ngomoha get a start he made a difference .

Really poor goal to give away schoolboy stuff.
