I'm at 3 penalties just based on the photo
And people keep telling me the refs canât see this. Crap like â 6 of one and half a dozen etc â gets spouted in defence of them.Yep. 3 players not looking at the ball and arms wrapped around an attacker.
This is the 3rd still I have seen of this game at a Chelsea corner. In each picture Rice is just acting as a blocker. Back to the ball in every picture and arms totally wrapped sround the player. I think Arteta has taken previous accusations of Arsenal being to soft to heart.View attachment 61140
Count the fouls!
They should do a Vinnie Jones and grab them where it hurtsAm I also the only one who thinks the attackers should just step on the defenders toes.
I'd have thought that Leicester winning the Premier League was one of the greatest things to happen for the authorities, in that it was one of the greatest stories on PL history?I remember after Leicester won the league there was a bit of a crackdown on pushing and pulling at set pieces - probably because Leicester winning the league upset the authorities as one of their precious 'big' teams didn't win it, and thus Leicester had to be stopped. But the following couple of years after that there were a lot more free kicks given. I guess it's fallen by the wayside and they need another crackdown again.

Of course those two and KantĂŠ were class, mostly on counter attacks. But they also had Huth and Morgan, a couple of units and beasts at set pieces at both ends of the field.I'd have thought that Leicester winning the Premier League was one of the greatest things to happen for the authorities, in that it was one of the greatest stories on PL history?
At any rate, is that how Leicester were deemed to have won the PL? All I remember is great moments and play from the likes of Vardy and Mahrez.
None, itâs a still image and canât be relied on, both teams were grabbing, shoving each other.View attachment 61140

I didn't say they changed any rules, I said they started cracking down on fouls at set pieces.I donât think they changed any rules based on Leicester winning the title and they didnât win the title based on set pieces![]()

We explain the 'grappling' law which has caused controversy in the Premier League
Referees have been in the headlines in the opening weeks of the Premier League season after enforcing - and then failing to consistently enforce - laws around grappling in the penalty area.www.skysports.com
Leicester noticeably struggled the season afterwards with fouls being given against Huth and Morgan particularly. Obviously the authorities didn't come and say it was to punish Leicester. But there were some parallels with the current season, when a team does especially well with set pieces and gets to the top of the league, people don't like it and want to knock them down. (Granted, if they are committing fouls that they're getting away with I think a crackdown is warranted.)But I donât think that was in any correlation to Leicester winning a title and the authorities not happy with them winning![]()

Oh dear! You really don't think that 3 of the Arsenal players are holding the Chelsea players? You can clearly see that one actually has his hands linked around the attacker, preventing him from moving.None, itâs a still image and canât be relied on, both teams were grabbing, shoving each other.
