Guehi choose not to come we can’t do anything about that!
He went for the money simple as that.
He did choose to come at the start of the season. But Liverpool took the risk that Palace would replace him, thus let him go. Sometimes risks backfire, which is why they are risks.

Bit more money to Palace, then I'm sure they'd have guaranteed the signing. Instead, they decided to spend an absurd amount on Isak, despite spending a fortune on Ekitike already. Spending a bit more on Guehi (instead) wasn't considered worth it.

We didn’t go back in for Guehi in the Jan

We had a deal in the summer but didn’t go through

The deal was different in Jan and it wasn’t for us

Guehi had two choices - go to City or stay at Palace and leave on a freeb

Or he saw the chance of success and money. What a silly boy to take that option.
Perhaps he felt a bit offended that Liverpool did not push harder for move. Then when City came along, he might have felt they respected and wanted him more than Liverpool did.

Not sure it was for the money? Could Liverpool not afford to pay him what City are, which I believe is £250k a week. Think that is the same as Gapko, and £100k less than VVD

😂😂 Tashy mate, VAR saved yous today, really can’t blame VAR for getting decisions correct.
I think the sad thing is that the rules allowed an instance like that to be lawful. What would of been a memorable ending to a game will now be forgotten in a weeks time, until a different decision is made and then we bring today’s incident up again.

I think the VAR decision re Salah going down under the Guehi challenge was the right one ( under the rules). But again it was a professional foul and I would like to see a straight red for those. Once more players having no intention of playing the ball only the man. For me. Straight red. As a City fan, trust me Ave seen plenty of professional fouls. 😉
12 mins into the game a Liverpool player blatantly fouls the City player. Even Neville says that’s a yellow. Only the ref thinks it’s a bit early in the game. Eh? At what time point during the game is it now ok for a yellow.

So apart from the one decision you believe VAR got right, you wanted it to ignore the rules to make the game memorable?😵‍💫

Szoboszlai is probably the player of the season for me right now, certainly been LPool’s best player and you think it’s OK for him to be available on wednesday away at SLand if it meant City won 3-1 instead of 2-1. No mate, it was the correct decision.

As for pundits deciding when it is or isn’t a yellow card, regardless of when the offence happens, I’ll take with a pinch of salt.

With the greatest respect, Szoboszlai is nowhere near player of the season. I think he'd struggle to get into the Top 10. He's had a good season and been Liverpool's best but nowhere near the best in the league. People are easily swayed by two world class free kicks.

No I don’t. I actually mentioned that if the goal was to stand, and Szobszlai was allowed to stay on, it’s not fair for the next three teams that have to play with him on the pitch. My grief is that’s the ruling that the goal should have been disallowed.
If Szoboszlai is there best player of the season so far. They really are in a mess. apart from one of the best free kicks this year. He plays Bernado Silva onside for the goal and gets sent off. 😖

He isn’t player of the season but he will get in a team of the season

Nothing to do with his 2 Free kicks, he’s been outstanding imo, especially as he’s been played out of position for most of it, he’s stood out in virtually every game they’ve played.

Genuinely struggle to think of many that have been more consistent this season.

again, you can’t blame VAR for making the correct decisions and then use that same stick to both punish and have sympathy for Szoboszlai.

I think it is only a 1 game ban for a red card for denying a goal scoring opportunity, while 3 game bans are red cards for violent conduct?
