Nothing to do with his 2 Free kicks, he’s been outstanding imo, especially as he’s been played out of position for most of it, he’s stood out in virtually every game they’ve played.

Genuinely struggle to think of many that have been more consistent this season.

again, you can’t blame VAR for making the correct decisions and then use that same stick to both punish and have sympathy for Szoboszlai.

I took a chance on him early doors in my FPL team and he went missing loads, trust me! I also think he's only played RB for 3/4 games. I know he's been shifted to RW a fair bit too but his return is pretty poor for an attacking player. I think Rice has got more goals and assists and he's not even an attacking midfielder.

No I don’t. I actually mentioned that if the goal was to stand, and Szobszlai was allowed to stay on, it’s not fair for the next three teams that have to play with him on the pitch. My grief is that’s the ruling that the goal should have been disallowed.
If Szoboszlai is there best player of the season so far. They really are in a mess. apart from one of the best free kicks this year. He plays Bernado Silva onside for the goal and gets sent off. 😖

Szoboszlai is only banned for one game

Totally respect your opinion, I just believe he’s had a big impact in an inconsistent team.

City paid £20 m wasn’t it but trebled his wages.
I’d call that going for money.
If he'd gone to Liverpool in summer, would you have said he was going for the money as well?

After all, they'd have at least doubled his salary, if not trebled it like City did.

He could have just made a decision in January: City are better than Liverpool, so I'll go to City?

Yes I would.
But was answering why the fans booed him.
I couldn’t care less where he plays.

Just watching motd and wondered if VAR actually checked if Haaland was offside for the debacle at the end .
It was really close on the halfway line but Allison was in Citys half when Cherki shot/ passed.
Havnt seen any lines so assuming they did .
Even a toenail in Liverpools half he’s offside.
Not complaining just curious as nobody mentioned it.!

Edit just checked on YouTube and he’s clearly onside in his own half.

Just looked at replay on YouTube. Haaland was about 2 or 3 yards in his own half when ball was played (having paused it just after ball was played forward)

The rules it appears were very clear

Listening it Stelling this morning and he hasn’t a clue
It would appear the ref didn’t know it either as he originally gave the goal.

The right decision was reached according to the laws but you could argue whether that was in the spirit of the game

The var ref, nor the onfield, can't turn a blind eye to this though. They get marked on their performances, they would pay a price.

You also have to be fair to other teams, as in golf where it's the field. It affects both teams goal difference, Sunderland would not be happy to see Slob on the pitch in the week. You can't see the game in isolation

Unfortunately the spirit of the game whatever that is doesn’t exist in the rules

Can only go by the rules and var was right with that 3rd goal
