I dont disagree he's not good enough to be a starter, right now. I think he would be better suited to go to a more mid table team, settle in and make his way. Sadly I fear he's another young one who has displayed so much promise but it never fully comes to fruition. He won't be the first and won't be the last to think they deserve more than they get and produce at such a young stage of life.
He hasn’t spat his dummy out & said “play me or I’m off” as he?
I saw it more like Palmer leaving City.
Realistically he’s not going to get game time at Liverpool.
On paper I thought Villa was a good move for him.

No, I dont think there was a dummy moment, I just think he felt he wasnt; getting enough game time. I seem to remember him getting more game time when Salah wasnt there.
I also thought Villa was a good move, but it seems Emery doesn't want him.

Don’t think that’s a fair reflection on Elliot

He has always seemed a very grounded person

Didn’t say anything last season despite not playing much and this season when it’s looking potentially like it will be a wasted one he has just knuckled down and got on with it

This move couldn’t have worked out any worse for him.
They’re obviously not going to play him now.

I don’t really understand what’s happened with Elliot at Villa.
If he makes 10 appearances they have to sign him?
Has he been given a chance?
At today’s prices he’s worth £30m imo.
I don’t think he’s top drawer, but he’s good enough to play for a mid table team.
It’s a disgrace from Villa. Imo.
Why take him if they don’t want to play him.
Just left the lad in limbo.

Footy contracts are just a joke now!

I think you’ve got to blame whoever has drafted that loan deal. It doesn’t do anyone any favours least of all the player.
Exactly. But he must have agreed the terms.!
He’s going to an established club.
If he thought he would get more game time at Villa his advisers should have put him right.

Maybe there were no other takers in the PL.
Abroad might have been better in hindsight.

Interesting time to blow the whistle

Arteta also really does need to learn to go to the oppo first to shake his hand before the over the top celebration with his staff

It’s hard to want City to beat them but it might be neccesary

I'm hoping City will beat them to the title, I really am.

Lads& lasses as most know on here I’m a city fan but myself and my blue pals really don’t think we will win it this season. We aren’t good enough. Many city teams of old would go on and win this prem, but not this one . Long way to go and we will see .
