A decent price for Liverpool maybe but asking for it and getting it is two different things.

I don’t think a club would take a gamble on a player who has hardly played for at least 2 seasons and at most has been a bit part player before that at that price.

I can see him going out on loans until his contract expires or Liverpool half that price

I think someone will pay around £30mil for him , if players like Johnson are going for over that then can see someone giving a decent amount for Elliot

I don’t really understand what’s happened with Elliot at Villa.
If he makes 10 appearances they have to sign him?
Has he been given a chance?
At today’s prices he’s worth £30m imo.
I don’t think he’s top drawer, but he’s good enough to play for a mid table team.

Is there a worse post match analysis combination than Redknapp and Merson
How these two get a contract is beyond me especially Merson. There must be more educated ex footballers who can do a better job . Nedum Onuha has a degree and does a bit of media. Also I know he’s one of yours but how did Carragher stay in the job .

Carragher has that connection with Neville and seems to provoke reaction which is what media companies want to see - the overlap stuff they do is very good and the dynamic with Henry and Richards for CBS is good

If strip back the over egging and accent he actually talks a lot of sense

I’ll take Carragher over the likes of McManaman and Owen

But neither Carragher or Neville should be doing any commentary on Liverpool or Man Utd matches

I agree out all that . But as t the end of the day spitting at a child is a sackable offence in my opinion even outside studio hours . But I’m pretty sure this has been done to death so back on topic .New blood is needed

Someone posted on HammersChat today…

“Win or the season is over

And you know what, i don't jeffing care”

And I think I feel the same, it’s nothing less than we deserve.

@pj87 I know you still lurk on here, I haven’t forgotten our bet. 😁

Don’t get me wrong what he did was disgraceful but he was given a second chance and that was there choice but as you say done to death

Crazy to think that we are in January, second half of season, and in this game alone Wolves are on course to double their total points tally for the season

I'm sat in "West Ham season ticket holder" brother in laws house right now.

Look of horror and disbelief on his face is considerable. 😁

He's a good squad player. I would say Emery didn't want him but those above him did.
Personally I would have prefered him to stay and fight for his place at Liverpool rather than ask to move.
If he wasn't impressing Slot, then he has to try harder.

Maybe it being a World Cup season had something to do with it?
Or maybe Slot told him he didn’t feature in his plans?
None of us know.
I don’t think he’s good enough to be a regular starter in top team,he’s a level below that for me.

I dont disagree he's not good enough to be a starter, right now. I think he would be better suited to go to a more mid table team, settle in and make his way. Sadly I fear he's another young one who has displayed so much promise but it never fully comes to fruition. He won't be the first and won't be the last to think they deserve more than they get and produce at such a young stage of life.
