Just seen the Arsenal goal how is that not offside.
Two players right in front of the keeper.
Watching Dermot on ref watch struggling trying to justify some of the rulings

The handball one he said “ non of the players asked for a red card “😳

That’s because they get booked themselves if they call for a booking
Couldn’t make it up.
Maybe we need Collini to give his views and stares. 😳👍

So we should be appealing like in cricket? He's another one like Mike Dean, just disappear instead of getting on whatever channel will have him.

I'm convinced his team-mates smashed in 9 goals to make sure he missed their first 2 world cup games. Also to ram home the fact they are indeed better without him.

He's one hell of an athlete mind.

Yeah at 40 to still be playing at a high level is a testament to the way he has looked after himself

Portugal need to move on without him but the manager is afraid to drop him

They have a great chance to win the World Cup

Ronaldo could be an amazing attribute for Portugal.
His experience could really help the rest of the squad and I’m sure they look up to him.
The thing is he would not accept being on the bench coming on if and when required.
I actually think he and the team would get more from him coming off the bench with 30 minutes to go.

A bit like Jordan Henderson does for us but obviously without Hendersons ability 😂

They only get booked if they wave an imaginary yellow card (although I believe I saw a player get away with a booking for that at the weekend, can't remember who)

However, if they ask for a yellow card verbally, or even rant to a certain extent, they often get away with no yellow. You see it all the time, when the ref has already given them a free kick and then they continue to complain about the extremity of the offending player's actions. They only get booked if the referee thinks their rant gets more on the abusive side.

Again, another bizarre rule.

In fairness, he might be OK with coming on for the last 30 minutes when he is 50 :)

It was very telling that when he hasn’t played they play better - it very very individually focused , he wants as many records as possible

It will be interesting to see what Martinez does in the WC when Portugal win those first two games

I bet Martinez is desperate for him to get injured just before the World Cup 😂

Gallagher really does refs no favours on there. He comes over as pompus, arrogant and clueless. Often making things up to cover up for his mates.
I find it a difficult watch. He seems to get frustrated and struggle for things to say in response to the inane questions, comparisons and points being put across by the presenter and the ex-player, who doesn't listen and constantly interrupts him.
It feels like something that's recorded to fill air time rather than contribute to any discussions.

Create for him and he will score , his finishing is superb - he is still an asset for his country
Needs to be a bit more humble and not try and score every free kick, irrespective of where it is on the pitch. He is not a team player, the way he has been behaving over the past couple of years. He just seems to want personal accolades, if the team wins it is almost secondary.

Don't agree with that. He's half the player he was and whilst he still has individual moments of brilliance he stifles the rest of the team. I think most teams playing against Portugal in the finals will be very happy if they see his name on the team sheet.

I also find it tough to watch.
He must be told what questions he will be asked (or at the least know from watching the weekend).

He never criticises either the ref or VAR, they may as well just replay the same comments every week,

Also I don’t think he has reffed with VAR in action which must be totally different to before it came into force, it’s like when they have an old centre back as a pundit who says that was a good tackle in my day, yes it was but the rules and boundaries have changed since the 80s.

Woooh lay off the old centre backs 😂

Maybe we need a Captains appeal like the cricket.
