Yep it's mad. His first season would rank in my view as one of the most impressive seasons in the history of the PL. Even Pep struggled badly when he took over a stacked City team and spent a fortune.

Liverpool attempted a rebuild in the summer and spent a load of money. New players take time to bed in. In hindsight it was too much, especially the full backs but you've got to give him at least until the end of the season. To me it looks like Salah is the one that's dropped off and his workrate has been dire. You can carry someone if they're getting 40 goals and assists but not when they're managing barely anything.

It might be time to accept the title has gone and focus on the rebuild and get Salah out in January.
It’s an odd un re Pep and Slot.
Pep did struggle to find his feet in his first season and his biggest mistake ( probably his biggest ever mistake) was buying Claudio Bravo. Who actually at international level has a fantastic record. The following season he brought in Ederson and City ended up being the title winners earning the title “ centurions” with 100 points.
Compare that to Slot who was on fire in his first season and won the title. I have never gone along with the train of thought that it was a poor Premier league.Liverpool won it hands down,The same way Leicester did. But the difference being, somehow Slot is massively struggling in his second season. Be interesting to see how the season pans out for them.

Yes but the interpretation of it has changed significantly over time
You said that there didn't used to be any interpretation - "Previously it was if the player was onside or offside (factual)."
Unless you're remembering the offside rules before they changed in 1903.

That was Pep's way though, he bombed Hart out and wanted a keeper to play out. That 15/16 season was the worst PL on record I think. The fact he stuck to his guns from day one, probably helped you win the title the season after. Bravo was gash though in that season!

Hard to say how things will pan out for Slot, Liverpool fans are very loyal so he'll get time. He desperately needs Wirtz and Isak to hit form though.

Sorry I didn’t think anyone would be that pedantic, I will try and post with exact dates and times any laws were changed in future.

I think anyone that understands how football works would of understood exactly what I meant

Oh, I thought City were called 'Centurions' because that's how many rules they'd broken. ;) ;)

I think if memory serves me right, Hart was allowed a few extra days off for some reason when everyone else returned pre season. He took them and it didn’t go down well. Pep straight away made a statement decision. That decision was Hart is not part of his plans, His reason being, Hart cannot play out from the back. In Harts defence he said “ he wish he had been given a chance as he had never been asked to play that role”. Having seen Hart kick a ball. It really was not one of his strongest points.
That said, he was far better than Bravo.

I’m convinced Bravo had never played in sticks until City signed him.
Bravo was great with his feet but so was Michael Flately, he was probably better than Bravo with his hands to be fair.
Even Jesus was better with crosses than Bravo

🤣
Anyone who understands football knows that the interpretation and implementation of many rules is adjusted every season.
But the major change to include interference with play when offside was made a lifetime before any of us were born, not a season or two ago, as you suggested.

The crosses never bothered me As Vinnie could sort them out. It was people shooting at him he was rammel at.

Who was the manager that said something along the lines “ if he is not interfering,What is he doing on the pitch”.

They will in time I'm sure. The players also need to get the loss of Jota out of their system. That to me is making a bigger impact than many think.

It changed significantly when VAR was introduced which was what we were discussing at the time.
The being level pretty much disappeared with the introduction of VAR as well apart from leagues which don’t have it obviously.

It seems you don’t like me as this isn’t the first time you have tried to be obtuse with something I have posted.

May I suggest you put me on ignore if I offend you so much.
