Apologies if this topic has already been done, I had a search and couldn't find see anything recent what what's the deal with the Premier League Hall of Fame and Giggs? Appreciate I am going to be biased as a United fan but how is someone with his record not even making the shortlist for this thing?
Apparently “The Hall of Fame recognises and celebrates individuals who have an exceptional record of success and have made a significant contribution to the Premier League since its inception in 1992.” If this isn't Giggs then I don't know who is?
I know the rumours are that it's due to issues in his personal life but you look down the list of 26 who are already there are you've got a fair few with suspect personal lives including at least one who has been to jail!!

The ludicrous point here, which appears wasted on Slot and is smacking the rest of us in the face, is that it was his choice to have a weak bench. Nobody else’s.
And to then moan about it? Does he have any concept quite how big a clown he is rapidly starting to look?

The irony last season no moans about a small squad as it all went his way.
Start of the season comments of how his squad is so much better with world class talent after spending a boatload of dosh.
9 games in, my squad is weak, not big enough and we can’t field a full squad! Also comments of how Liverpool don’t do certain things and should get benefit of certain decisions. Starting to make himself look very silly and inept when being interviewed.

Read an article several years back about how many transfers are successful. More fail at the lower end but there’s plenty at the top clubs too. Sometimes good players just don’t fit. Most clubs have let players go who have then gone on to be stellar.
Did Liverpool’s summer window look that bad really? Isak was an odd one. Why they carried on chasing him is beyond me. Losing out of Palace’s centre back was massive, and a critical miss. Allowing Diaz to go after losing Jota in such tragic circumstances, and moving Nunez out too. 3 players gone, and only 1 in that looks like he’s decent enough.
They’ve bought for the future with some of them, £30m for an 18yr old cb… but my gut feel is they need a very good January if they’re to maintain there momentum that they’ve had in recent seasons. Make or break season??

It must be down to his off field conduct, which was pretty shady even ignoring the affair with his brother's missus. He was accused of acting not much differently to Mason Greenwood and was very lucky the retrial collapsed as his ex decided not to give evidence again. Whether that was a result of stress or something more sinister, no one will ever know.
Based on football, he would be the first name on the list to be included!

If the Hall of Fame accounts for players personal lives, then there really is no value in having a Hall of Fame.
I did a Jetpunks quiz today, which asked for the players and managers in the Hall of Fame. I must have typed Giggs name about 8 times, confused why it wasnt accepting it as an answer, and assuming I, or they, simply werw spelling it wrong (pretty tricky to do for a 5 letter name that includes 3 "g"s)

But thats my point, if you’re including off field conduct then it’s a complete farce given some of the other names already inducted. Terry had all sorts of issues inc the racism incident. Toby Adam’s spent time behind bars. Cantona kung fu kicked a fan in the stands and was banned for a fair amount of time. Ashley Cole all sorts of infidelity and shot someone with an air rifle. These are just the ones I can remember off the top of my head, I’m sure there are others.
