Maybe you might want to go back 10 years.

However you dress it up before you joined the forum 2 months ago. Liverpool fans were waxing Lyrical about the lack of spending. Even more so some took great pleasure in taking the moral high ground about spending so little. There’s clues in the comments/ jokes about the coutinho money being spent yet. There’s also a clue that the only forummer that likes your post took the moral high ground re Liverpool. If posting facts is a sour post it’s not me that has the problem.

Yes City spent money, if you read the link it shows they spent money 😂

What you actually said was Liverpool haven’t spent money 😂

Now it’s woe is me 😂😂😂😂😂

Constructive, not 👍

You added a link that doesn’t have Liverpool in the top ten spending 😂😂😂

Yes we won the league after spending £10mil

And we are now spending money that’s be saved over the last 24 months as well as from player sales

It’s not rocket science

Hopefully it is just the state of specific individuals.

Isak is the sort that will do anything to selfishly gets what he wants, and doesn't care who he screws over to get it.

Guehi will assertively tell people what he wants, but will honour any promises he has made.

The likes of Isak may generally end up with more money and trophies at tge end of their careers. But the likes of Guehi will be able to sleep a bit better at night when their career is over.

There'll always be mercenaries like Isak, but I hope there will still be plenty like Guehi.

This will be interesting - Bayer reportedly looking at him or Ange

He would have to turn them down surely
If Leverkusen are looking at Big Ange after. Sacking ETH after just 2 games they need to give their head a wobble! They’re quickly going from a club that’s been well
Run with good players to a ripped apart squad and managers that nobody in their right minds would be classed as successful in a top team.

This is a bit dramatic!

I'm sure both will sleep fine. It's hardly Sol Campbell lying, running his contract down and moving to his biggest rivals on a free.

Isak gave a lot for Newcastle and helped them win their first trophy in 60 odd years? It might've ended on a sour note but Newcastle have done well out of him and should accept they can't compete when a giant comes knocking. They held out for the higher fee and everyone is happy.

Slott has a tough job trying to keep all those attackers happy now.

Just like Liverpool have in the past when Real & Barca have come knocking? 😂😂😂

Their squad has been totally ripped up , think it’s just Boniface that’s still there

Guehi is a superb professional who whilst prob being gutted that he has missed out on a dream move will knuckle down and give 100% for his club and then get that dream move next summer instead

Palace will have got another year out of him but then miss out of key funds and the manager who has imo forced the transfer to be stopped will have prob left - do feel sorry for Guehi and hope he has a great season for Palace

With the amount of games we will play they wlll get plenty of games - going to be interesting to see when he plays them together for some games

Did look at other players that have either downed tools or gone on strike to force moves

Wissa , Gyokeres , Gordon , Gallas ,Coutinho , Suarez , Tevez , Mahrez , Payet , Sterling , Costa, Berbatov -amongst many that got their moves

It’s not many that don’t force it through

Yep, that's true. Liverpool are bigger than Newcastle and the Spanish giants are bigger than Liverpool. Barca took Coutinho and Suarez off Liverpool for something like £225m?

One of those transfers helped turn the club around and built the foundations for the success we have had

The Good News is both Spanish giants struggle to pay the big fees at the moment

A season or 2 ago as German champions and Champions league hopefuls maybe ! But 2 seasons later and a decimated squad, absolutely not. Palace are improving every year under him and now have a great chance in Europe
I don’t see many clubs in Europe being able to poach mid to top table prem managers.
Real,Barca,psg,Bayern,atletico,Dortmund,Napoli maybe.
But not Leverkusen.

The manager will do a runner the minute a big club comes in , yet seems threatening to walk has cost Guehi his move despite the player acting very professionally

Lots of unknowns here, but IF the manager has put his foot down and stood up for himself and the club’s short term interests, then I say good for him.

This strikes me as poor planning by the club. They’ve known all summer long that Liverpool were likely to make a move, in the event another club didn’t, and yet appear to have done very little to have a contingency, leaving it until the last 50 minutes of the window to get a suitable deal done.

Combine that with the fact they have a manager who everyone knows won’t stick around if his employers don’t back him 100%, then I’m astonished Palace got themselves in this mess.

It’s long overdue a club refused to sanction a last minute deal and told a player he had to stay put. And whilst there is no doubt Guehi will be gone in the summer, I fully expect he will honour the remainder of his contract with the integrity he has shown to date.

You seem to have missed the point 😬

Liverpool didn’t “accept it” they were forced into it,just like Newcastle have with Isak 👍🏻
