I’m not ‘Amorim out’ but I’m not entirely convinced I’m ‘Amorim in’ either. At present his system isn’t working and there’s only so long you can blame not having the right players especially when other managers arrive at clubs at get things heading in the right direction in a number of games. To not change the system when you’re in the midst of a game that you’re making an absolute horlicks of is questionable at best. The best managers adapt and he doesn’t appear to have that ability. After Burnley we have City, Chelsea and Liverpool all within the space of 5 weeks or so (I think). Could well be the end of him come October.

I think he’ll stay till well into next season to try and get them out of the Championship ;) :ROFLMAO:

We don’t have a midfield pairing to play this system. It’s glaringly obvious to everyone. No cover in front of a back three which is exposed time and again, and no creativity. A decent midfield will do to us what Newcastle did at OT last year.

Still way too easy to play against.

Reading comments from some of the lads who went to the Everton v Stags game. Suffice to say they were not blown away with the new ground. Main gripes being it looks like things are done on the cheap. Not impressed with the lavvys and “ a right hike to the buses after the game”.

I saw something the other day that showed Gary Neville had a much better record at Valencia than Amorin has at Utd :censored:

You don't bring in a manager and then sign the players to fit his system, you bring in manager to fit the players at the club. The first option is much more expensive and risky! The issue is now Utd have backed him so much they're stuck in no mans land.

Of course they do, it’s crap, rubbish, cheap nasty and so on and to then bring it up on the forums here, how about going and seeing for yourself and make your own judgement.

Personally most people think it’s ace with great atmosphere and a great stadium but nope you have do you.

After 54 years I’ve lost of the love of football and it’s driven by people, social media and 24 hour press along with the hatred that pervades it as a whole.

I’d generally read/heard positive things about Everton’s new ground. 🤔

In an age of old grounds being replaced by “soulless bowls”, it looks to me like they’ve done a decent job of the design etc to retain the old-school aesthetic and atmosphere.

Guess you can’t please everyone though!

Just watched the post match interview and honestly feel like Amorim is done. I think he looks beaten and ready to walk. If we put in another dismal performance against Burnley I think we could be looking for another manager after the international break as he’ll resign.

I thought the same watching it back over breakfast this morning. That image of him frantically moving pieces on the tactics board on the bench looked like a man without a clue what’s going on at his own club.

I don’t think he’s helping himself with continually sticking to a formation that’s not working even against teams like Grimsby. Problem is if he walks or gets the boot where do you actually go from here

It’s all getting rather messy.

I don’t understand the rationale. After nearly a year in charge, we’ve spent £200m on a front three and done absolutely nothing to strengthen the midfield. Nothing at all.

The ease with which Grimsby played last night was scary. There are just gaping holes in that midfield, with Fernandes being defensively poor again when he came on, and Ugarte showing once more he lacks both the awareness and mobility to play in this system.

I pray we get two more players in before the window closes. One has to be in that midfield, and a new ‘keeper is an absolute necessity. Onana simply does not command his area, especially his six yard box, in a way a top ‘keeper should. And he’s nowhere near vocal enough. You can see that in games. He’s had ample time to adapt his game to suit English football and isn’t up to it.

Where would Amorim’s departure leave us? In an even bigger mess, having spent a fortune on players he wants for his system, who may be unwanted by a new manager. He HAS to either be flexible himself, or get the right players in the right positions.

Just seen it. Looks like a man who has absolutely no clue who he is, where he is, why he’s there or how to do anything about it.

£750m to build Tash, the money wasn't spent on the land. I haven't been yet so can't comment entirely. However having been to many grounds around the country the insides of grounds are rarely treated well and so if they haven't gone for Italian marble and high end porcelain, I can't blame them. I'm hoping it won't fall apart after a season, we will see.

In terms of after the game, they are right. This has been covered before and is an ongoing problem.

The good news for those lads, they will have the honesty of Sincil Bank this weekend. They will be there to give a review won't they?

Maybe he should come on this forum and he will learn everything he needs to do to get them winning again. If he takes just 10% of the advice on here, Man Utd will be top 4 at least :ROFLMAO:

If you have a rigid plan, refuse to alter it, but it doesn't work, that's how you look 🤷. Mad that someone at that level has that approach.
