The reasons why some Liverpool fans or even people from Liverpool boo the anthem is very much deep rooted for decades - I have no issues with their reasons behind it

For me people should always show respect for people that have passed away regardless and don’t think the two should be connected

But it’s times imo to stop playing the anthem and also to have minutes applause - it solves both issues

Yes, the reasons are deep rooted and I’m not suggesting they should change their views, but think it’s a bit double standards to protest against something but then complain about the reaction that it brings.

We are kinda assuming that the two are connected, however it’s likely that the disruption of the silence has nothing to do with the booing of the anthem and it’s just a minority of pathetic people who thought they’d disrupt it.

They are a very good team , quick going forward but think they may end up losing their two best players before the end of the window
That’s the problem that Palace face at the moment and have done for a while to be fair.
The manager will also be tough to keep hold of if they keep playing the way they have been since he arrived.

I think the last statement is closer and it’s just a minority who will look for any reason as we see in all fanbases

Anyway

Surprised he hasn’t left already with Kerkhez coming in - will be a good signing for them

Yet just a few years ago some Liverpudlians said, and I quote, 'there'd be dancing in the streets of Liverpool tonight' when Margaret Thatcher's death was announced.
Some people just want it both ways.

That’s the same deep rooted reasons which we can’t discuss on here - it’s not a one size fits all situation.

But you actually said, "people should always show respect for people that have passed away regardless".
I'm assuming Mrs Thatcher is, therefore, included in that statement, hence the word 'regardless'.

He has been impressive since he arrived

I’m glad to see Wharton return to form , it seemed like last season he had a bit of a drop off

Sarr is also very good , surprised more aren’t looking at Mateta as well - especially those teams that need goals

Going back to the football I know today was only a friendly for Liverpool (after they lost 😂) but I think Gravenberg was really missed and not playing probably did him a favour.
The sort of player who doesn’t get too many plaudits but is a major cog in the wheel.

What does stopping the anthem being played solve? Liverpool fans booing?

So, basically, national anthem to no longer be played so that Liverpool fans get their wish?

I'm not sure all football fans would respect that decision in the same way to be fair

I’m sure someone will prove me wrong but I wouldn’t associate Palace Fans with behaving that way.

He is key for us , but also Gary Mac next to him. Jones did ok but Dom had a stinker

But how about this for a game

I like the manager a lot. Has the team working really hard for each other, happy to dig in when needed but also always a threat going forward.
Wharton is a quality player but still fairly young or at least inexperienced at Prem level.
Think if he has a half decent season one of the bigger clubs will be in for him next season.

Man Utd will prob grab him when Amorin is booted 😉😁

We’ve been linked with around 654 players this last week or so, so I’ll believe it when it happens!

Get the feeling we’re waiting for the result of Palace’s appeal, then a mass influx happens.
