Thought Palace deserved it.
Second half they were miles the best team.

Slot made a very defensive sub and we looked finished with no out ball.

Salah jeez how bad does he have to be to be subbed.
Kept him on for the pens šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Terrible, but wasn’t inevitable as soon as the anthem was booed?

Respect goes both ways

Two vastly different situations which have been discussed at length when it comes to the Anthem

Time for the anthem to stop being played at these events

But if that’s the reason why some Palace fans felt it ok to disrupt the minutes silence it shows I guess the level of mentality

It’s not time for the anthem to stop being played just because Liverpool fans feel like they’ve been more hard done by than the rest of the country.
Agree it’s poor to disrupt the minute’s silence tho šŸ‘šŸ»

Liverpool looked either really tired or really undercooked for me.
As soon as palace upped the tempo they controlled the game.
Got to say I think Palace have the makings of a very good side if they can keep them together and add a couple to bolster the squad.
Some really poor penalties and a couple of very good saves.
Be interesting when it all starts for real next weekend.

You say it was tribalism, but I am not aware of any ā€œissueā€ between Palace and Liverpool that would support that.

My opinion is that the silence is observed if the anthem is observed, there are other and more respectful ways that the ongoing point can continue to be made.

If it’s not tribalism then what reason would a Palace fan for disrupting a minutes silence for a player passing away ?

Just the way the modern fan is ? A bit too much drink maybe - it’s why clubs are going to minutes applauses which I believe was asked for

Liverpool fans booing the anthem has been happening for a while and it’s nothing to do with disrespecting Palace - they have their reasons

It’s a shame a minority act like they do

They are a very good team , quick going forward but think they may end up losing their two best players before the end of the window
