He will have been learning Spanish for a year or 18 months at least.I understood him better in that interview than I did any time he spoke scouse to be fair
Fair play to him though, I'm impressed. If he put as much work into his defensive work as he did learning Spanish, he would be one heck of an all round player

Yeah, definitely only a couple of weeks. Because clearly for the last year or two, he has been keen to sign a new LFC contract. But, they never offered him one, and Real Madrid suddenly became an opportunity
