Something I had not realised about Sancho. He only has one year left on his contract so it is quite possible that he will choose to sit the year out and leave for free next summer.

Apparently, last year Chelsea paid no loan fee and covered half of the wages. Another club may match that next season, it is not a bad deal if you can get a tune out of him. A big loss on the £73m paid for him

Clearly some will only be happy if Bruno moves to a club where he will be getting paid less.

Really, he’s damned if he does, and damned if he doesn’t in the eyes of some.

He'd be wiser to fight his hardest to get back into the Man Utd side, fight for a manager he hasn't played for, and at least leave with some dignity at the end of the season. But, he won't do that.

Not sure how he is reducing his earning power by doing that. He is getting £300k off Utd, no way is he getting that on his next contract. He stays for a year, gets a whopping signing on fee with his next move.

I'm not suggesting he literally sits it out, I am assuming that Amorim will not particularly want him so it is more a case of him being sidelined but accepting that. His ideal is to get another loan move. It's whether Utd will offer equally generous terms again or suck up the total hit and keep him.

I don't think dignity comes into it really. He probably has no love for Utd at this point, he will not feel any affinity for them now.

I wonder if some clubs are wary of how he will react to his face being smashed in? Understandably, he may not be quite the player after that. I'd be a bit wary of sticking my head in somewhere after someone whacked it last time.

I can't imagine many clubs are willing to take a gamble and give a player like Sancho his next nice big contract, given his reputation over the last few years. I'm sure someone will take him (as he will be free), but he won't be in the best position to negotiate a nice juicy contract.

Whereas if he showed some fight and professionalism, and God forbid some decent moments on the football pitch, then assuming he still wants to leave next year, he'd have a hell of a lot more interest in other clubs wanting to take him. And thus give him a better deal.

Players should feel honoured for any club that pay their salary. They should be honoured to play in front of the fans of that club.

And, when a player clearly wants to play for your club, then yes, fans are generally honoured by that, which is why they give them the support back. Doesn't matter the reason why they play for that club. I'm sure most clubs have had players play for them that have the ability to play at clubs fighting higher up the table.

And it is obvious that if Man Utd have an ambition to climb up the table to compete with the top clubs, they are going to need the players with the ability to do that. So, it is nice that Man Utd still are able to attract such players that can potentially do that

What happened to the days when you only knew a club was interested in a player was when they announced the signing or you saw them run out on a Saturday morning? All this speculation, some started by the the player's own 'people' gets boring with players linked with multiple clubs, depending on where you get the information from. gets proper tiresome and boring.

It's a job to most of them. There isn't an honour. That's long since past and the sooner fans get their heads around it the better.

You are correct, Utd hasn't been an easy place to be. But, a large part of that is down to some of the players on the squad. They are not blameless. They are not all brilliant players that are being let down by the club, because the wall paper in the training room is putting them off. Players like Maguire, Bruno, McTomminay, etc have all been professional and kept their reputation intact.

I don't know what the specifics are with Sancho, but there have been plenty of comments from people that know the inside of the club that suggest he is anything but professional. Apparently he is late for training on countless occasions. I get the impression he is an entitled spoilt brat. I'm not sure how high his stock is in Germany, or how competitive many of the teams are below Bayern and Leverkusen anyway? In his second stint at Dortmund, he had 2 goals and 3 assists. 1 goal in Champions League. I'm sure he did OK, but I'm not sure if he was instrumental in them getting to the final, or whether another average player in his position could have contributed as much

Just because you didn't hear of any stories at Dortmund, dpesn't mean there were no issues. Yes, his rep has clearly taken a kicking since he joined Utd. Are Man Utd solely to blame, has Sancho been found out, and/or is he not as technically gifted as some thought?

Pep seemed to raise concerns about him when he left City, allegedly saying "didn't want to take the challenge, the opportunity to discover if he was able to". At Dortmund, in his second spell, he might have had some good moments. Though in his 7th game, for example, he was labelled the worst player on the pitch by German media against Hoffenheim.

I suspect his first spell at Dortmund was a moment in time, where the stars aligned, he was young, playing regular football in a successful young side, alongside Haaland. But, when there is any adversity to face, Sancho seems completely unable to face it. Instead he sulks and blames the world around him. He isn't unique to that, but I would put him in that category.
