At Dortmund, in his second spell, he might have had some good moments. Though in his 7th game, for example, he was labelled the worst player on the pitch by German media against Hoffenheim.

I suspect his first spell at Dortmund was a moment in time, where the stars aligned, he was young, playing regular football in a successful young side, alongside Haaland. But, when there is any adversity to face, Sancho seems completely unable to face it. Instead he sulks and blames the world around him. He isn't unique to that, but I would put him in that category.

Ok let’s put it another way

How many players have arrived over the last 7/8 years into United and have actually improved their standing in the game

How many would you say have actually been successful

You appear to be absolving the club of any blame

Sancho has a lot of talent , showed it in Germany and for England

Was offered a lot of money by a club with big issues and jumped at it - can’t blame him for that , the season he arrived the club changed managers , then changed managers at the end of the season - he played 80 games for United ( starting a good amount of them )until the fall out with ETH and that’s where the issues started - and he wasn’t the first

So whilst Sancho didn’t help himself in the situation with his response - he is another in prob a long list of expensive signings at the club that have gone wrong and at 25 will prob reinvent himself elsewhere

He’s hardly reinvented himself at Chelsea.

Sancho was a big hit in a largely uncompetitive league. Put him in the high intensity cut and thrust of a Premier League game and he’s bang average.

he didn’t have the worst season at a Chelsea club going through a lot of changes

Did ok for them and was his wages that’s stopped him staying there

And playing well in Germany can’t be dismissed so easily

You are somehow completely flipping things around to suggest I'm saying things I'm not. What is it you are trying to say? That Man Utd have brought in a brilliant talent like Sancho, and it is the Club's fault (whatever aspects of the Club you think are the problem)? I have continually slagged off Man Utd for many decisions over quite a few years, and now you are saying I'm absolving them of blame.

I don't think Sancho is a great player. I wasn't overly excited about Man Utd signing him (the signing was delayed by a year, so there was a lot of talk about it before he actually signed). We had Greenwood at the time (before his personal issues became public) on the right, and although there was a hope he'd end up a No. 9, I never saw a huge amount in Sancho when he played for England. So, I just hoped that the recruitment staff had a much better idea of how good he was. But, his performances at Utd never lived up to this great reputation you speak of, and my opinion on him never changed for the better unfortunately. I do blame the club, I blame them for signing Sancho.

He might be able to reinvent himself at some mid table team in a weaker league. I don't know if he will ever reinvent himself anywhere close to the point of being a star player in a top side, earning a big salary? I'm not even sure how many fans of other PL teams would absolutely love to get their hands on Sancho? Any takers?

Clearly the reputation of most players at Man Utd is going to decline over the last decade. That sort of thing of happens when a team goes from being one of the top sides to an awful one. Few players come out of that looking like they've really kicked on to being world beaters (or maintained that reputation if that is what they were before). We probably have some players that haven't really been worse than their previous club, but because of the money they now earn and what is expected of them at Man Utd, they probably get hammered anyway for not being the magic player that gives Man Utd some respect as a team. That is what happens when the idiots at Man Utd were happy to pay astronomical fees and wages for players that only have potential. It is like they are paying under the assumption that the potential will be realised, and thus paying for the complete player before they ever get there, and may never get there.

I was trying to figure out why they had 2 transfer windows, instead of a single window that simply opened before the World Club Cup

Then I was thinking, if they allowed players to play for a club for a month, clubs could look to sign the likes of Salah, Van Dijk, Saka, etc for a month. Give their clubs a big wad of cash, cover their salary for a month, and those clubs get that player back afterwards (hopefully not injured or tired). Obviously, this would feel ridiculous, but authorities are good at making football ridiculous if it earns more money.

But I’ll be simple

Sancho is just another player that’s a symbol of the shocking management of the club for the last decade or so along with a very long list

Sancho imo is a very good player who made the wrong choice to go to Man Utd

Happy to see Kelleher going there - it’s a good club and think he will do very well there , can prob be there number 1 for a few years

A couple of top teams need a top GK as well but I don’t think we would have sold to them unless they offered a good amount

Chelsea have had to pay Utd £5m rather than sign Sancho.
Says it all really.

He’s reportedly on £300k pw,sorry but no one is paying him anywhere close to that when he leaves.
He’s been bang average whilst at Chelsea,didn’t pull up any trees when going back to Dortmund on loan.

Comes across like he’s got a massive ego,but doesn’t back it up on the field.
Pretty much the same as Garnacho,whose attitude stinks imo.

You are frustrating to discuss this with, as you are completely inconsistent.

Not long ago, you were proudly telling the world not one Man Utd player would get into any of the top sides.

Now, you are labelling one of Man Utd's biggest under performers as a very good player. A very good player for who? Hull?

It seems to me that, had a Man Utd fan come in here praising Sancho's quality, you would hammer them and give all the reasons why he isn't. But, as a Utd fan is questioning the quality of Sancho, you've instead spun the argument to make it all Man Utds fault

How is it Man Utd's fault he is late for training, or is slow when he runs, or shows no fight on the pitch? Just because he had a decent season or so at Dortmund doesn't really prove he is a very good footballer, especially now.

He was that bad your club chased him for a year and spent over £70mil for him along with giving him big wages
