Seriously?
They are a quality side but not close to Real or Barcelona for me, coin toss against Bayern, Inter, Dortmund for me also.

The front three are superb , the three in the middle excellent, two very very good full backs as well

Those forwards will create chances against anyone , will prob meet Madrid in the Semis - and certainly have enough to get past them

Watched The One Show last night and they had an article with Tony Bellew and the new Everton stadium. What was surprising was the fact that Everton originally played at Anfield and fell out with the owners and moved to Goodison. The owner of Anfield found himself with a stadium and no team so formed Liverpool.

The first Liverpool game at Anfield was a friendly against Rotherham Town (as was) which Liverpool won 7-1. Good to know that the Mighty Millers were the start of Liverpool’s current good form and maybe we should get some financial support for this 🤪

Uhhhh, nah, they're taking a battering against the mighty Villa!

Earlier in the week, Danny Murphy was drooling a bit on TalkSport, talking about this could be the best debut season by a debutant manager (Slot). Winning the Champions League and the League would top Mourinho's debut season. Ahh well :ROFLMAO:.

Around ten games to go in the PL. A little game of prediction, anyone?

In no particular order, who gets the top five slots?

Which three go down (may not be that difficult a prediction)

And if you follow the Champ, which two get automatic promotion?

Mine:

Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Forest and Newcastle for top five.

Southampton, Fester and Ipswich to go down.

Blades and Burnley come up.

Sheff United and Leeds come up with Sunderland via the playoff

I don't think much will change now. Like you, I can see Chelsea slipping out of the top 5 and Newcastle pinching 5th. The bottom three will be as they are now - don't see any of them going on a run of wins. Don't know much about the Championship, but I've heard about Burnley's unreal defensive record, so perhaps they'll nick an automatic spot.

Seems to be a bit of a merry-go-round of the same teams going up and down at the moment. The three promoted teams heading straight back down - which is exactly what happened the year before. And likely that two of last year's relegated teams are going back up. How dull. 😄

Personally I thought Salah was very poor last night. Final ball was lacking.

Also when Gakpo and Nunez came on their work rate wasn't great.

VVD was brilliant last night.
Salah does this a lot ,very wasteful with the ball and can’t / won’t tackle a wet paper bag.
But his highlight reel always impresses.
He stayed on for the penalties .

The one big thing Nunez lacks is finishing when he has time to think about it.
So why Slot thought he could take a penalty is a mystery.

Mo always seems to be poor through Ramadan - looked back through his years and he seems to not do as well through March

Well if he’s poor because of fasting why keep him on for 120 mins if his energy is depleted.
We scored when he went off in Paris it’s like Slot had forgotten that!

We lost because we never converted the chances we made and the keeper played well.
Penalties are hard to take though.
Golden goal would be more exiting.

It’s always going to be tough to take off your best player when its a tight match

If he is bad through March then it isn't necessarily related to Ramadan, which is not at the same time every year. It has only been in March for the last 3 years (including this one) and in 2023 was only a week of March. Might just be getting tired throughout the season or carrying a niggle or 2
