Has been a good game - PSG better than us so far , front three break with so much pace and Vitinha in the middle is outstanding at finding space and just playing the right ball - hell of a player

Nuno didn't fancy him so hardly played him. Best thing that happened was leaving, for him. We would've ruined him.

Is it me, or is it becoming more and more common for referees to be getting in the way of teams who try to pass the ball across in front of the box from one side to another?
Just seen another example where a PSG player has to deviate his run on to a ball because the ref was in the way.
Seems to happen in most matches that i watch these days...the refs simply are not aware enough about what players might want to do and get themselves in positions that they cant get out of.

Not sure if it applies to the incident you saw tonight, but remember Webb explaining that referees take up different positions these days.
With so many teams trying to build from the back, they need to be closer to the box the defenders are playing from, as there could be a quick turnover and potential key decision to make.
Previously, they'd look to place themselves more centrally on the pitch, when defensive team have it, as they are likely to hoof it forward
