The suggestion with Malacia was that his initial surgery was completed in Holland, against the club’s wishes. I believe the second surgery was done more in line with what the club wanted.
I agree with both you and Swango to varying degrees. Some of this is just down to bad luck, some to the brittleness of the players (Varane seems to be an injury waiting to happen), but some surely has to be down to a combination of training and rehabilitation methods. I can’t ever recall a season so badly blighted by injuries.
But none of this is an excuse for an appalling season.
